Cully Cottage was our home from home for a few days. Can't fault anything. Everything as advertised. Perfectly cleaned, no trace of previous occupants or their cannine friends (allergies quiet TG). Beautiful hiking routes in the region thoroughly enjoyed by all. Highly recommend this peaceful region. Property was great value for money and perfect location to hike from. Although an adults only weekend could see it's very well kitted out for families with children of all ages. Intend to return to enjoy more county walks in the region.
Would not recommend! Not as advertised. Advertised as child friendly however we Arrived to find dirty cigarette butt's in the fire Pitt and in a dirty bucket outside, bottles of lighter fuel laying on the ground outside, bags of rubbish piled outside, scrap outside the house that would be hazardous to young children and animal hair inside the house accompanied with the smell of wet dog. While it's advertised as dog friendly, I didn't expect to find dog hairs all over the floors and seating areas. As a dog owner myself I understand they cast etc but to find the amount of hairs not cleaned up was unacceptable and a candle burning to try and cover the smell when we arrived. Certainly not child friendly. Customer service a lot to be desired.
Beautiful pet friendly cottage located near ballinamore and also perfect base for the northwest. But please don't book out all of winter as I want to get back.
I have been staying at Cully Cottage for the last week with my mam and my two teenage children aged 16 and 13 and the best was that our lovely pooch could come along for the trip as Cully Cottage is Dog friendly. The house is off the main road so is completely safe for anyone with small children or dogs. The house is perfect, a traditional country feel with all the modern mod cons we can't live without! The garden was beyond perfect too, we spent so much time out here lounging around on the many swing loungers just basking in the stillness of the beautiful country side! Bliss! There's a a BBQ and a pizza oven! And plenty for the kids to do with swings, a slide, a fairy garden, 2 little play houses and an in ground trampoline! We don't want to leave tomorrow! There is also plenty to do around the area too.. I definitely recommend a trip to Lough Key for the day where you can go out on a guided boat trip and head out on a rented rowing boat.. or head for the skies on the their zip line or go on a beautiful bike ride, or one of the many other activities they have to offer. Poll an easy waterfall is another must see and is only a 15 min drive away from the cottage, and has 2 waterfalls with a fresh water swimming pool! Or take a boat trip down the Shannon River! The area is also a fantastic place for any fishing fanatic. I will definitely be back as soon as I can!
