We were looking for a place to pamper ourselves a little bit after a long flight over the Atlantic and a subsequent drive to Waterford. We were certainly glad we picked Kilcannon House. Gertie and Pat were the perfect fit to help us relax and also help us to find some new things to see in an area we had previously simply passed through on our way. The breakfasts were first rate. I love the typical "irish breakfast", but anyone could find an option that suited their taste. Regardless of the selection, you can feel assured that it will be superbly prepared. We also had dinner there both nights -- again the preparation was great and we were offered the choice of beef, lamb, chicken, or fish. We had the lamb (from a local establishment) and fish (fresh). Wow!! We were offered a lot of local information, including maps prepared by Mack the dog (probably with some help from Pat) and the horse (Jeff) offered sage advise when asked politely. A great place to stay that caused us to stay an extra night beyond our plan because it was just too nice to leave.
