“Great family fun weekend just a shame the chalets are so poor”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

Just arrived home after a 3 night night stay, when we arrived the lady was very friendly and the place looked nice! When we got to the chalet we were expecting the worst as I had read the reviews ! We stayed in chalet 22, it was clean but everything was very old! carpets looked old worn and discoloured, the bathroom and toilet very small and the curtains looked old! I would highly recommend you take your own bedding as I honestly wouldn't have used theres even if it was freezing ! Swimming pool was good but very cold for a heated pool! and the showers at the pool you have to pay for ! But I have to say although the chalet wasn't the best we had great fun in the evenings and my two boys LOVED the entertainment winning lots of sweets, dancing and playing games, the play park was great too! lots to do in the local areas ! I think with some TLC this place would be fine but the chalets really do need a revamp, it would have a lot more potential ! Glad this was just a cheap Sun holiday

Room Tip: Good to have a chalet with the green outside for the children

Have just arrived back from 3 night stay, worst place I have ever stayed in. Had 3 night sun break, chalets were very tired and run down. think Pontins circa 70's only worse. Windows open to let smell of damp out when we arrived(didn't work). I went with a friend and we are both pensioners, only for the fact we had driven from Wales stopped us from going straight home. Bath was rusty and we could not use it, shower was a shampoo attachment on the bath taps!! We left feeling cold, dirty and our belongings very damp. Fortunately we had bought our own bedding. Sun holidays really should not offer this venue any more.

We booked this holiday through the sun holiday and paid £38.00 for four people for 3 nights, after reading the reviews I have to admit I was dreading the holiday! We arrived late at the resort and it was still easy to check in and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Then the moment came I was dreading - looking at the accommodation! We opened the door and sighed a sigh of relief - it was clean no mould creepy crawlies dangerous areas or any of the other factors the other reviews said about! Ok it was abit dated but I only paid £38.00 for goodness sake - the same price some people pay for a new tshirt! I would revisit this site - the grounds were beautiful and the childrens play adventure looked very safe and child friendly. I have to say the one thing that the chalet could have benefitted from would be a welcome pack, giving information about the local area and directions to different towns and information. there were leaflets at reception but it is sometimes easier to look through the welcome pack in comfort when you arrive at the park. All in all we had a great time and we would definitely return!

Arrived here 2nd May booked through the sun newspaper very wary of going as bad reviews but very surprised as it was cleaner than pontins and larger accomodation. We had a double bed and twin beds. Please DO NOT be put of by reviews I AM PLEASED we went.Friendly staff and the entertainment was also good.Being self catering we took our own supplies of food and bedding as most people that do self catering holidays know you have to take your own supplies including TOILET ROLLS.My husband and daughter and grandaughter went no complaints at all so please go. We have stayed at other self catering both here & abroad and we consider this to be better than some for which you would pay a lot more. This is a great place for viewing Cornwall as it is central and convenient. Yes you do need a car & the swimming pool is enclosed but you would not want it outside as then it would be cold! Highly recommend.

Arrived here today 2nd May, for bank holiday weekend, got it cheap with the Sun newspaper tokens.
Needless to say, we stayed an hour then left and went back home.
Receptionist was lovely.
Chalet 17 was horrific. It had a distinct smell, wondered why all the windows were open in the place on our arrival!
Dampness and mould had been painted over but had started to show through.
I didn't even unpack as I didn't want my clothes or bed linen smelling musty!
Yes, it was self catering, but they didnt even have a toilet roll in the bathroom?!?!?!
I've stayed self catering numerous times abroad and they provide that!
When we left, I handed the key back to receptionist and told her we were returning home, she just smiled and said ok?!?!? Never even asked why?!?!? I think that speaks volumes.
Would I go back? Not in a million years!

We had a cheep deal great we thought when we got there we had the shock of our lives
The pictures they are using must be years old this site was run down there was no sand in the sand pit the pool was a puddle with a green house over it with No life guard
The room was in such a poor condition paint flaking off the wall holes in the door rodent droppings in the kitchen cupboard and to the furniture looked like they had been taken off a 1970 campsite there was mould in most of the rooms the curtains were so old they had holes in them there was no blinds or curtains in the bathroom and to top it off there was blood stains on the bedding
