We ate our lunch here today in the beautiful yet hot July sun! We had lovely sandwiches which came with a nice salad! Love the decor and the fact that your tea is served in a real tea pot! It's out second visit and we will defiantly return again!

A great spot to sit, eat, chat and relax. It has a good menu, with something for everyone, from breakfast to afternoon tea. Tasty food, good portion size and great service, a real gem. Will definitely go back when in the area.

When the clock strikes 3 is a delightful little tea room which is perfect for afternoon tea! The ambience is lovely and the decor gives it a vintage, rustic feel.

There is a great choice of delicious food, cakes and drinks and there are served quickly and efficiently. A wonderful little tea room- we'll be going again!

Having been camping nearby I took my 2 sons (13 and 8) here for breakfast. This is a lovely place with a pleasant atmosphere, it is a real "charming tea room" to steal a phrase from another reviewer. There are mismatched cups and saucers laid out on tables which have fresh flowers and above your head is pastel pink and blue cotton bunting. The menu is not extensive and serves just what you would expect. We chose a full English, a bacon cob and scrambled eggs and salmon on a toasted bagel. washed down with a proper pot of tea which we squeezed just over 5 cups out of. We left the pattern on the plates but that was all. Lovely, all of it and served by friendly staff. In a main street where every other shop seems to sell fish and chips this is a real find, an oasis of calm. Tables inside are quite tight and for this reason a group of ladies with pushchairs chose to sit at a table outside.

Everything about this tea room is just perfect. Great choice of food and cakes, also gluten free options.
Our tea was served in china cups and a proper tea pot. I had the homemade soup which was amazing, this tea room is a healthy alternative to the usual fish and chip shops which you get in Matlock and which I don't particularly want.
The tea room is exceptionally clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Thank you, we will be back.
