“Aquarium & Exibition Visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2014

We went to Matlock Bath on Sunday 25th May 2014 & decided to have a look round the Aquarium & Exhibition. As we arrived quite late we asked how long we had until they closed, "about an hour" was the reply "but don't worry, you will only need about half an hour to look round". We paid our £2.90 each for admission & started our tour. What an interesting half hour it was. Starting with the petrifying spring, onto the aquarium (damn, some of those fish are big), outside to the coy carp pool & finally a slow walk round (wobbling from side to side, won't explain why, see for yourself) the 3D art display.

Well worth a trip, especially if the weather isn't perfect, won't take a lot of your day but it will be an interesting time

“Worth a look”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 May 2014 via mobile

Me and mum off on our jollies again and decided to spend the day in Matlock bath. Always fancied going into the aquarium as we thought sealife in Birmingham was fantastic!
Obviously this is on a much smaller scale.

Abandoned mum outside in the wheelchair as there were a few steps to negotiate. As I walked in, I was completely thrown by the arcade and got a little bit confused (which doesn't take much nowadays) thinking I was on the wrong place!

Disappointed that there was no wheelchair access but very difficult to do due to space and location, besides it would spoil such a beautiful building.

As my mum is able to negotiate some steps, a staff member showed me round beforehand so I knew whether my mum was able to look round.

Although it's very small, me and mum found it fascinating and the staff were excellent!

“Nice place but busy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 May 2014 via mobile

I live not far away from here and only visit a few times a year its a lovely place for abit of fun but also it can get really busy during weekends or over the illuminations period. Don't get me wrong its really good for the kiddies both playing on the slot machines or visiting upstairs where you can visit the animals. Worth s visit

“Nice place to visit”

At only 2.90 per person you cant really expect alot, but there is a good variety of fish to see and the koi carp pool outside is good and you can feed them, then there is a hologram museum within which i thought was abit strange within a aquarium but it was very interesting to look at.
