Nice surroundings and atmosphere, however, ordered a bottle of Chardonnay and were given a bottle of 'something Spanish' in a wine cooler and not told that they did not have any of the wine we ordered, just replaced with I presume cheaper alternative, only when we complained were we offered an alternative. Ordered garlic bread, which did not arrive until the end of the meal. Husband ordered fish from the menu only to be told 'no fish' although another at the table had a seafood pasta dish which was lacking flavour and disappointing. 2 of our group ordered Carbonara only to find this very bland and lacking seasoning/flavour. Neapolitan pizza was good. All in all we would not recommend for their food.

Myself and my partner visited this public house which has been turned in to a lovely italian eaterie. The food was excellent and tasty and the pizzas were first class. I could not fault this place and the service was good too.

The entrance in to the pub is through an old fashioned wooden door and just adds to the character and experience. Brilliant!

We were staying locally and on our last night we had an evening meal here.
We had the mussels and their homemade sundried tomato bread with balsamic glaze .
The bread was simply delicious. The food was amazing. We were so impressed with the bread that they kindly gave us some extra to take home. How nice was that. I even asked the chef for his recipe, tried it at home but wasn't as good as his!!!. Shame we found it on our last day.

Strange to find a pub with this name is actually more of an Italian restaurant. The service is friendly and efficient and the food is ok but not somewhere where I would want to spend an evening out, but it was fine for a lunch break. There is plenty of seating in an informal atmosphere and the portions are generous.

You must book to guarantee your table because word must be getting around that this is a fantastic restaurant. Great home made food, I was talking to the chefs and they even go out and shoot there own game. friendly and efficient staff. Been there many times and its consistently good. There was a problem with the electricity in the area I think and quick as a flash a bloody generator arrived and it was as if nothing had happened lol.crazy. The quiz night was so much fun with people coming from all a round the areas. I challenge u to try and beat the local lads they are egg heads i think. Best restaurant for miles around.
