Warm welcome from our hosts, comfortable rooms and superb breakfast, with the delight of home-made preserves.

This was the second stop on our Land's End - John O Groats charity cycle ride, so a good night's sleep and a good feed in the morning is what we needed, both of which were delivered.

Happy to recommend Taw Vale.

The room was perfect, extremely friendly atmosphere with a family that are willing to help in any way they can. Sylvia's breakfast was first class with plenty of options. Very informal and relaxed - you feel like you are staying with the family, but retaining your privacy.

For the price and everything mentioned above i cannot recommend Taw vale any higher.

Thank you so much for the stay.

My wife and I have used Taw Vale on three occasions and it is our go to B & B in the area. First rate accommodation and service topped off with a most excellent breakfast. Sylvia and family have created a warm and welcoming atmosphere and we would recommend Taw Vale to anyone seeking accommodation in the area.

Sylvia thinks of everything and the breakfasts are too good. Lovely house, full of character. Clean, comfortable and Georgian where your every need is taken care of. Handy for the station, shops and places to eat and a short, picturesque drive into Exeter. Definitely recommend Taw Vale.

We stayed at Taw Vale B&B last weekend. After a long journey Sylvia welcomed us with tea and biscuits after showing us our lovely room and separate private bathroom. The room was tastefully decorated and furnished in keeping with the style of the house. Little things were included in our room such as hot water bottle, torch, a good selection of teas and coffee as well as bath robes. Breakfast is included in the price and the choice on offer matches that of a good hotel. Sylvia has a background in hotels and catering and this is evident in her overall care of her guests. We had a very comfortable stay and would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Exeter.

Attentive hosts, great breakfast and clean, comfortable and quiet accommodation equals a brilliant b&b experience.
I arrived on a bicycle and this was securely stored in a dry garage without any fuss. Tea and biscuits in the lounge/dining room followed with good conversation.
My room was warm on arrival, spacious and very well appointed with everything you might realistically need. There was a lovely private patio that you would want to use in better weather.

Breakfast was very good and served in a friendly, unhurried manner with really tasty homemade jam. Checkout was also very civilised and I left with a pleasant memory of my stay and warm wishes for my onward journe

This was my first stay in a B& B. I was travelling alone for work and I could not have been looked after better. Very welcoming and helpful hosts, attention to detail. Nice decor and spaciious rooms. Lovely breakfast and yummy jam! I stayed on two different occasions for 3 days each time and can not fault this place. Very lovely and relaxing trips. A charming house and with a lovely garden with fruit trees. Great value for money. Lookign forward to my next trip back there :). x

Room Tip: Ensuite rooms are nice, but the room downstairs is lovely and very spacious. But all very nice.
