“Excellent holiday home.”
Reviewed 24 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

We couldn't have wished for anything better. The bungalow was perfect, it was very clean, tidy and comfortable and had everything we needed. A few yards away was the start of the Pennine Trail. Just behind it there were large grassy areas and across the road was the beach. We took our two dogs who had the time if their lives! There are some lovely shops and restaurants in the town and everything was within walking distance. We went to Freeport Village Shopping Outlet which was just a few minutes drive away. There are some lovely shops and places to eat and plenty of seats for my husband and the dogs to sit on while I was shopping. There is also a Tesco two minutes drive or ten minutes walk away which was very handy. We will definitely be booking again.

Management Response
18 Jun 2017
Here follows the Review that I hold written in these new to us 'Guests' handwriting, left at the property on Friday 9th June 2017 when they left following their one week stay - failing to lock the property before departing!..........they obviously knew they had caused damage and loss and hoped by leaving us a good Review in person, hiding some of their damage caused we would not have the courage to penalise them by retaining monies taken against either discovery of damage or excessive cleaning following Guest departure ! "Nice stay at Beach Bay, very clean and pleasant and very quiet. You've thought of everything anyone would need on holiday a Credit to you! Hope we have left everything OK? WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY FOR HOLS. and may book a short stay September time. Thanks again. Thanks for the free eggs, I forgot to fetch some so they came in handy." These new to us 'Guests' had trashed everything, lost or taken the expensive Alarm disabling device provided, refused to respond to my immediate contacts on Friday 9th June 2017 and so for only the second time ever in our long career offering holiday accommodation we have kept their £100 Security Bond against damage AND excessive cleaning requirement as our Terms and Conditions to which they agreed upon booking clearly shows we will if you abuse our trust and our lovely property - it has been very upsetting for us. Here is a part list of causes for retention of these new 'Guests' £100 Security Bond:
Alarm Fob absent
Ring missing off Door Key
Back French Doors NOT LOCKED AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glass/Cup ring on BRAND NEW AND UNMARKED PREVIOUSLY Bedside Cabinet which has a Coaster/Tray on for Glasses!
Both spare/additional parts of Duvets have been used WITHOUT hygiene covers provided AND EXPRESSLY required to be used for the hygiene of ALL GUESTS - these spare Duvets are kept sealed and clean in bags and have been ruined! I had to go out and purchase new, replacement Duvets for the Guests following you as it is not possible to wash and dry Duvets in a few hours!!!!!!!!
Dedicated "Vegetable Only" bowl in kitchen, kept on the top of Fridge/Freezer and unmarked prior to your arrival had knife slashes in base that went right through the bowl rendering it useless - had to go out and purchase a new, replacement bowl for next Guests!!!!!!!
Freezer door had been wedged open with too much or poorly arranged food inside meaning it was absolutely full of fluffy, new ice as you had messed with the Central Heating Controls, put the Heating on and the Freezer was trying to keep frozen against the central heating of the bungalow! All had to be defrosted and removed prior to next Guests.
A bag of rotting vegetables had been left in the Gas Cupboard in the kitchen, hooked on the baby high-chair and it had oozed all down the wall, over the floor and actually all over a pink bag you left behind!
Un-emptied bathroom bins and a used toilet not flushed.
Brand new and rather funky red frying spatula has been ruined by burning the handle.
All crockery used AND THE SLOW COOKER filthy, as if dipped in water and put away in cupboards without actually washing or slow cooker pot put back into metal outer all wet so it has rusted the connection point at the base but WITHOUT YOU HAVING BOTHERED TO WASH THEM..............We provide a Dishwasher AND Tablets to use!!!!!!!! I had to re hand wash everything!!!!!!!!

etc. etc.............................

Guests have Full Access at all times of year to Central Heating Controls at all times AND full written Instructions on how to operate but these 'Guests' had completely messed up the Central Heating with their own fiddlings of the Control Panel!

Fortunately a very rare occurrence to attract such bad Guests as these - ALL PREVIOUS GUESTS to Beach Bay Bungalow apart from these particular Guests have had their Security Bonds returned and really enjoyed their Holiday Experience.

“Christmas by the sea”

Well, what can I say? A beautiful bungalow minutes from the sea front, a short walk into town, spacious, warm and comfortable. My partner and I stayed at Beach Bay Bungalow for a week and a bit over Christmas 2016 and had the most relaxing time I've ever had at that time of year. We were very lucky with the weather, and saw some amazing sunsets. The bungalow is kitted out with everything you would need, and the king sized beds are so comfortable. An exceptionally dog friendly property and perfectly situated for walkies. Sue the owner is lovely, very friendly and helpful, and gives you all the information you need and more. She had put up Christmas decorations including a real tree, and a door wreath which she made herself. I would recommend this lovely place to anyone without hesitation.

Great bungalow with a costal theme. Quiet location. 5 minutes from beach & all amenities. Lovely body temperature dog shower with dog towels provided. Our Labrador made full use of this. Very clean & everything you could want from a stay at the seaside. Home from home.

Great bungalow in ideal situation five mins from beach and town centre very handily placed even if you dont have a car.Good quality fixtures and fittings and spotlessly clean throughout. Two large bedrooms with clean and comfy beds with the added bonus of each bedroom having its own large en-suite.Also perfect if you have dogs with large enclosed gravelled garden with body temp dog wash and owner providing dog towels and lots of other bits and pieces you might need for your pooch.Sue the owner is happy to meet any special requirements you might have.
