Oh what a wonderful place to stay! Jilly is so welcoming and the place is beautifully bohemian yet chic.

Our room was at the top, eclectic in decor (as is the whole place) and SPOTLESS! It had some beautiful pieces of Art Deco furniture with Jilly's personal touches adding character.

A great selection of in-room refreshments including a bar of delicious Montezuma organic chocolate, and the bathroom goodies were lovely in scent and quality.

Shame I didn't find the complimentary earplugs until the following morning - it was a very hot night so we kept the windows open - the seagulls weren't a problem we are used to them, but the Belvidere's extremely convenient location does mean it isn't the quietest location. However, the convenience outweighed the lorry delivering to the small supermarket down the road at 6.30am!

The breakfast was the best guesthouse experience we've ever had - Started with roasted peaches, yoghurt and muesli - a delicious combination, then full english which was wonderful. Even had 3 types of tomatoes - cherry, standard and sundried. Everything was served in vintage crockery and cutlery and accompanied by lovely 40s swing music - heaven!

Jilly was also very helpful with local info and helped us plan our day - great!

So looking forward to our next visit - thank you Jilly!

Only disappointment was that we didn't have time to really chat to Jilly - next time!!!

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely but Room 4 was wonderful.

My best friend and I headed down to Kent for two nights for a break away from London and we could simply not have stayed at a better spot! Jilly is truly one in a million and nothing is too much trouble for her and her team. The downstairs area of Belvidere Place is all bare floorboards and well worn in comfy sofa's with carefully chosen and placed decorative items dotted throughout. There is a gorgeous, wild-looking terrace just off the sitting room. The bedrooms are large, bright and airy with the most comfortable beds imaginable. There is fresh fruit and organic chocolate upon your arrival. The bathroom is well stocked with Ren products and everything else you may need. There are simply no words to describe the breakfast. From caramalised pears with marscapone to Nigella inspired ham and poached eggs - it was out of this world and the best start to our day! The BnB is located within a stones throw of the beach and there are a number of excellent restaurants nearby. I cannot recommend Belvidere Place enough and will definitely be returning!

Room Tip: Our room didn't have a shower (only a handshower in the bath) so if this is a priority for you...

Thank you Jilly for helping to make our 42nd anniversary so special. We had a wonderful time at this unusual B & B, where modern successfully blends with antique. The breakfasts were delicious and the room very large and very comfortable. A real home from home!

The Belvidere deserves all the 5* reviews. Jilly is the perfect host, genuinely pleased to meet guests and it was clear most others staying were repeat customers. Spotless rooms, comfy bed, tasty breakfasts and just a nice friendly atmosphere. A short walk from the station and shorter to the beach - it was the perfect spot for our anniversary weekend away....and what a gift we got too!!

After wanting to revisit Broadstairs having spent my childhood summers there I took my family to Belvidere Place for a short trip last year. It was wonderful - we had two exquisite rooms on the top floor and were welcomed by Jilly and co so warmly. And yes, as others have commented, the stewed fruit options at breakfast were exceptional! It makes a change not to be bombarded with the awful "boutique" hotel nonsense - this is quite simply a fantastically stylish and top notch B and B which can't be faulted.
I am saving some pennies to hopefully return asap.

Jilly's such a warm and welcoming host. You feel like you're visiting a relative rather than a B&B, a very cool relative, mind! Everything is of the best quality from the duvets, shower gels to sausages at breakfast, It really is the perfect place to escape to. Thanks Jilly.

I spent 4 nights in Belvidere Place in March 2013. The landlady Jilly is a fantastic hostess who goes the extra mile to make your stay memorable. The food is of the highest quality and varied everyday. The rooms are individually decorated and the bed was very comfortable. I would whole-heartedly recommend a stay at Belvidere Place.
