I arrived on Thursday 26th May for 5 nights with my partner, mum and our 11 year old son.
We've had a lovely time in Limetree Cottage, the property is very spacious, plenty of room for each of us to do our own thing and have space when you want it.
A wonderful kitchen, full of character, lovely bedrooms, sun room, the showers both upstairs and downstairs are very powerful making it possible to have a lovely shower.
Having spent five days in Broadstairs we can recommend certain places which we really enjoyed.
Viking Bay is wonderful,lovely beach,harbour,amusements.
Morrelis Ice Cream Parlour is fantastic in Viking Bay if you want a special treat.
The Charles Dickens pub,had a lovely meal upstairs in the restaurant and a breakfast downstairs, both 10/10
Margate, Botany Bay, Joss Bay are all good places to visit.
The Shell Grotto is fascinating, with a lovely gift shop.
We also spent two wonderful evenings in the Yard of Ale pub which is literally a couple of steps away from Limetree Cottage, it's an amazing micro brewery, very friendly staff, great cheese and crackers with pickle!
We're all really quite sad to leave there
Thanks to Andrew and Alan for sharing their wonderful home with us and for leaving us a lovely welcome hamper.
There is also an amazing florists directly opposite the house and on our departure I had a bouquet made up for my mum's 80th birthday, it's the nicest one I've ever ordered!
We really liked this house and enjoyed our week there especially as it felt so warm and cosy when the weather was a bit cold and foggy outside. There is a Co-Op within easy walking distance and you can walk to the main town/beach if you've got more time.
It has everything you could need and the beds were all comfy so we all slept well!
We are four over 65's who visit a different part of the country to celebrate the new year. We have been doing this for many years and we always stay in self catering accommodation. I have to say that this place is one of the best we have stayed in.
Very comfortable, lovely decor, well equipped, superb kitchen. We found the beds very comfortable and you have three double bedrooms to choose from. We found it very well located, though we do a lot of walking, so the central location was fine for us. We can only comment on the stay over the new year, but we found the heating and warmth of the place very good. The Christmas tree in the entry hall was a really nice touch. Plenty of room to park your car, although backing out can be a little tricky, but most passing motorists stop to let you out. We didn't use the extension area in he back, but during summer weather it looks as though it could be very warm as its a sun trap as is the outside area too. This place will be great in the summer time.
The information supplied by the owners is very good. Everything fully explained, including places to visit etc. Yes every place can be improved and the only thing we found a little irritating, was the lack of lights over the cooking area, in fact the whole of the kitchen could do with a little more light. Maybe its our age. Anyway it's something I believe the owners are going to address, but don't let that distract you, this place is superb. Thoroughly recommended.
Very comfortable, well equiped, a warm welcome, nice decoration and a perfect stay for discover the area. Thank you!
We had a lovely few days staying here.
The house was very comfortable and well equipped and well located in St Peters, just a mile from Broadstairs. We loved the art too.
We did some lovely walks from the door and were very impressed with the local amenities which included a well stocked supermarket, pubs and takeaways only a few minutes walk away.
Although Church street is busy at peak times the area had a real village atmosphere yet it was no distance to get to Broadstairs, Margate and Ramsgate.
We would definitely recommend Limetree cottage.
have just returned from a 4 night stay at lime tree cottage lovely cosy spacious accomodation, very clean and well equipped hope to return next year.
