“Perfect place to stay for our sons wedding”
Reviewed 24 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Stayed for our sons wedding in nearby Birchington On Sea, the house was just perfect for our 2 night stay. Very comfortable, clean and well furnished. Many thanks to the owner Beth for the loan of an ironing board. Found a lovely restaurant Wyatt & Jones just near the house for dinner the night before. The beach was beautiful within an easy walking distance. Town was quaint and unspoiled. Will return hopefully soon! The Wedding day was beautiful.

“nice cottage, excellent location”
Reviewed 17 September 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We had a bit of trouble parking, particularly because at one time we had 3 cars, but once parked, we could walk easily to 2 beaches and all the shops and restaurants. The large shopping centre was within easy reach on the way to either Margate or Ramsgate. We loved the open top bus! Lovely "old" seaside feel and not tacky. The cottage was well furnished, but the outside area did not allow any release for our 3-year old grandson, it was adequate for a barbecue though.

“Great 14 days in Kent”

We as a family of 6 (17yrs-74yrs.) plus dog had a great stay in Rectory Road No3. A perfect base to explore the surroundings. Very short distance to the best beach (Stone Bay) there, just 5-10 minutes walk. Far enough to stay away from the City Beach (crowded, loud, busy), close enough to just go for a perfect swim at high tide (Triathletes: Buoy to Buoy swimming in some 200m equi-distance). We felt welcome in the house and it is big enough to stay there with a group of 6 plus dog. Dog stayed at first flour in the living room.
Beth - the owner - appreciated any feedback to accommodate to the needs of the tenant and she stopped by for dropping off more drinking mugs and towels, which was much appreciated. She also replied to emails before the stay within 24hrs, which is exemplary.
Regarding bed allocation we had to check which bed is the best for what size of person, but eventually we succeeded. One bedroom houses also the heating system, which sometimes starts in the middle of the night, pretty silent, but loud enough to wake up here and there.
Parking wasn't an issue at all as Rectory Road is open for parking, but at busy days (folk week) you might need to look around for another spot to drop your car free of charge. Managed it at all times within 5-10 minutes walking distance.

“Loved the cottage!”
Reviewed 20 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

I stayed in the cottage with my family for a weekend as part of my 30th birthday. The cottage was perfect! Brilliant location. So close to the beach with shops/bars/restaurants pretty much right on your doorstep. Beth was so lovely and very helpful. We will definitely be returning!

“Chic cottage, spotless and great location”
Reviewed 9 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

We stayed at this cottage for a weekend break from London and can't fault it. The location is great - 1 min walk from the sea and 2 mins walk into town. We had afternoon tea at Bleak House round the corner..worth a visit for a very traditional tea in a quaint old hotel. Walks along the seafront were lovely, complemented by ice cream from Morelli's.

The house itself is decorated beautifully with some lovely touches. Good quality sofas, beds, a wood burning fire and a big dining table made it very comfy and homely. After previous bad experiences with dog-friendly cottages we were most impressed by how clean it was - the house was literally spotless! As someone who can't relax in other people's dirt this was just wonderful.

After making a mistake with my booking the owner was very accommodating and genuine and went the extra mile to help resolve. Given that TripAdvisor vacation rentals were pretty difficult to contact, this was extra helpful and a relief.

All in all amazing value and we'll be recommending to friends and family, and returning if we're ever wanting a seaside break in Broadstairs again.

A beautiful little house in a quiet surrounding that was equipped with everything you might need. Condition and cleanliness leave nothing to be desired. We will be back!
