“Christmas stay”
Reviewed 3 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

We stayed at Seagull Cottage over Christmas and what a lovely cottage it is. On arrival the property was very clean, and had been decorated for Christmas which was lovely. It is very easy to feel at home here, as the house has such a lovely feel to it. Everything you could think of is provided - and more! We couldn't have asked for anything more. We didn't use the garden, but that looked lovely too. The house is in a lovely area, quiet but full of charm and character. On Christmas Day we walked to the beach then I cooked a full Christmas dinner in the large fully equipped kitchen before we settled down in front of the log burner. If you are thinking of renting Seagull Cottage, don't hesitate. I highly recommend it.

“Cosy Cottage - Home from Home!”
Reviewed 24 December 2016 for a stay in November 2016

We needed somewhere to stay whilst visiting Mum in the local hospice, so not your usual holiday stay. Our visits (we sadly had to come back for her funeral a few weeks later) were made so much easier by coming 'home' to Seagull Cottage. It is so nicely presented, cosy and warm with everything you need and so much space. Our son came with us on our first visit, from his home in the USA, and loved the English Cottage. Christmas had arrived on our second trip, which was really appreciated as we hadn't had the energy to manage this at our home under the sad circumstances.
I feel I know Tracey as a friend as she was so kind, understanding and accomodating. We will be back for a holiday in happier times as it was so lovely.
Thank you so much for everything and all the little touches that make this a beautiful place!

“Super house in a great location”
Reviewed 13 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Our stay in Seagull Cottage was fantastic. The house is beautifully decorated and really well equipped. The children loved the basement with all its toys and the slide in the garden was a big hit too. It was great to be able to walk to a lovely beach (Joss Bay, 20 mins at toddler-speed) although we couldn't find a route that was entirely on footpaths so there was a bit of walking on the road. The donkeys at the end of the road were popular with the children. The location of the house is ideal for exploring the Isle of Thanet and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this lovely place to stay.

Liked best: The house was beautifully decorated and had everything we could need or want.
Liked least: The master bed felt a bit small, and was also very squeaky.

“A spacious and beautiful, immaculately maintained and furnished Victorian cottage by the sea”

Lovingly and sympathetically renovated this cottage ticks all of the boxes and more. The owners Tracey and Richard have thought of absolutely everything providing facilities for all generations should they be required.
From the moment we arrived (with a very tasteful welcome basket) to the moment we left we felt privileged to stay there.
Blessed with glorious weather we were busily building sandcastles in the morning and enjoying the dappled shadow of the private garden in the afternoon al fresco dining of course! Perfect!

“Lovely Cottage, everything you need for a family holiday.”
Reviewed 18 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

A well appointed cottage with everything you need for a three generation family holiday. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. The garden was great with a slide for the children and the games room lots of fun. Joss Bay is walkable if you just want a stroll but a car is needed when you have a 4 and 2 year old and all your beach gear in tow, there is plenty of parking. The beaches have refreshments and amenities so you can comfortably spend all day there. A good choice of supermarkets nearby to stock up. We stayed in Folk week and there was a lovely atmosphere with street entertainers in Broadstairs. We parked easily on the street about 5 minutes walk away. Fantastic day out to Dover castle.
