We have stayed in many hotels and would give this one 100% in all areas . Friendly and homely . Catered for us as a family of four with two young babies excellent service .Great scenery we were facing viking bay we will definitely be returning .great breakfast and helpful staff only disadvantages no lift so had to walk pushchair up quite a few stairs .

First trip away for a while & a recuperative break for my wife. Room 35 at top of hotel with excellent seaview. Large comfortable bed. Shower at bit weak in the morning (agree with other comments). Breakfast freshly cooked & excellent.

Lovely old building just as you would expect a sea front hotel to be. Access to beach entirely car free to wonderful Viking Bay. Hotel staff very friendly. Travelled with 7 year old son, accommodated in our room at no extra charge. When we booked a room with sea view was only available for one night but while we were there they found another room with sea view for second night and could not have been kinder, moving all our luggage with no fuss and no gap without room access. Bright, comfortable room, nicely updated and modern. Great bathrooms. Very comfy beds. Tea and coffee in room. Staff really welcoming. Stored our luggage on the second day. Nothing too much trouble. Very good breakfast. Main hotel areas a bit on the tired side, but still comfy. Ate in the bar first night, a bit fried food for our taste but reasonable and good wine. Thoroughly recommend and we will be going back!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view - First and second floor best

My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary and it weren't that great, the room was an ok size but was drafty and noisy from the people on the same floor. Some lights weren't working and the decor needing some TLC. We went down for breakfast and ordered a cheese and ham croissant to get a big slice of ham and cheese with salad and help myself to the buffet (which had crossiants), not what I expected! The local area seemed quite quiet and didn't seem to be a lot around to do.

A glorious old building situated in the heart of Broadstairs. Always been upgraded to sea front view if room available at no extra cost. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and of a high standard. Service is excellent nothing too much trouble. Food is excellent with a truly outstanding breakfast. Well situated in gorgeous Broadstairs. Lots of bars and pubs all within easy walking distance. Love the place looking forward to our next visit.

I booked a bed and breakfast elsewhere in Broadstairs and after checking in I didn't feel comfortable. I was on my own and feeling very vulnerable. I was about to go home when I saw a notice on the Hotel door saying rooms were available that evening. I went to the reception and found the receptionist very kind and helpful, I immediately felt comfortable and safe. The room was spotless and very cosy. I had a couple of glasses of very nice wine in the bar in the evening in a very relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was good, I sat outside with the sea view. Overall it was perfect. I will definitely return.
