Dont take notice of bad reviews, absolutely wonderful. Visited in october and had a lovely, lovely stay. Our room was beautiful, would book a sea view next time. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere in bar, coffee shop and throughout. Definitely, definitely worth a vist. Cant wait to return.

Room Tip: Stayed in a room facing the street, which was fine. But would go for the sea view next time. Didnt...

Grossly over-priced for the service offered. Gents toilets have leaked since they were refurbished. This has recently been "fixed" by placing an empty mayonnaise tub under the leaking urinal. The staff are friendly, but frankly don't appear to have much of a clue what they are doing. At least they finally fixed the paper hanging from the damp ceiling in the lounge.

We come down for three days during the Broadstairs Folk Week in August and have stayed in the same room (16) for the past four years. It's a comfortable hotel with good en-suite facilities and excellent breakfast, which we take on the terrace - watch out for opportunistic seagulls, who eye up your plate! We always rebook at the end of our stay and will be at The Albion again in 2014.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the sea are noisy during the Summer months, particularly during the Folk Festival in Au...

A lovely, warm, friendly, cosy hotel.
Great location, close to the town centre yet still quiet on one side, beautiful sea views from private balconies on the other. Very cosy, comfortable yet spacious room with lovely en suite bathroom. Warm, friendly and very efficient staff. Very good food, especially the breakfast, which was also great value. If you're planning to visit this area then this is the place to stay, if you're not planning to visit this area then I strongly suggest you do in order to experience this hotel. Oh, and Broadstairs is worth looking around as well.

Room Tip: If you're travelling in the Summer, suggest rooms with a sea view

a long weekend stay, we try and stay at least once a year. Whatever the season, the views and location are perfect. In the summer it is like the "French Riviera" With it's al fresco dinning to the sound and view of the tides as they ebb and flow in the bay, the clinking of glasses and the sound of conversation thronging the air!! In the winter you can look out to sea and understand how and why "Charles Dickens" got the inspiration to write his wonderful stories. The Royal Albion itself is a perfect blend of old and new. Comfortable, clean, great service, delicious food. What more can we say except value for money also!! Highly recommended

Room Tip: Must have a sea view to enjoy location to the maximum

We stayed at the Royal Albion Hotel in October 2013 for 3 nights. The rooms are lovely and the breakfasts were pretty tasty too. We wouldn't hesitate in going back.
Broadstairs is a lovely little town, with plenty of bars and restaurants. We walked for hours every day, with the odd pub stop to keep us going.
