Very friendly helpful staff in a well looked after and interesting museum. Loved The Hulk exhibition of life aboard a prison ship in the 1800's.

“Great local Museum”
Reviewed 2 December 2013

Great day entertainment for both adults and children who love to get to know the origins and evolution throughout history of Medway.
There is plenty to look at, and lots to learn from this Museum and plenty of hands on for both big and small children to keep busy.
The Museum is also divided in two separate sections, so do not forget to visit them both.
The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
There is a facility for prams to be safely locked away while you are visiting.

“very informative and entertaining”
Reviewed 29 November 2013

Had a couple of hours to spare in Rochester. ~Went here as it is free, which is useful when you only have a limited time. Very interesting and informative and quite amusing in places. Only problem, not disable friendly as there is a large staircase (even has a red carpet!) but no lift or ramps.

“Great visit.”
Reviewed 14 October 2013

This is a very well laid out museum that takes you from pre-historic Medway, through Dickensian times and into it's maritime history. Very informative and housed in a beautiful building - we only had time to tour the first museum - the second part is housed in another lovely building across a courtyard - but will definitely come back to complete the tour. Plus - it's free admittance!
