Ate here for the first time tonight, meal ordered was the breaded chicken breast which was a major disappointment. Two measly slices of chicken no more than a few mm thick, a forks worth of spaghetti, and a salad which consisted of a slice of tomato, slice of cucumber and a single leaf. For one of the dearer things on the menu it was pathetic and bland. Could of got a better meal from mcdonalds for a fraction of the price. On complaint, the waitress didn't seem bothered in the slightest, and to top it off, we had to ask for our change back from the notes we paid with as they took it all as a tip without consolation. Will stick to simply Italian.

Excellent place. Made to feel like you're in their home rather than a restaurant. Very playful and happy staff to compliment the good food.

We had a grouchy 6 year old that was clearly hungry and opted for this restaurant as it was convenient, spotlessly clean well laid out tables, clearly served pizza and there were some delicious cooking smells as we walked past! The menu was simple but had plenty of choice with an emphasis on fresh, good quality ingredients together with efficient / attentive waiting staff. My husband and I ordered two starters/small places, deserts and coffee whilst our son had a Margherita pizza.

Our starters were flavoursome - Italian style baked aubergine and whitebait (the whitebait was exceptional - fresh and flavoursome and larger than we've had anywhere else). Complimentary slices of fresh bread and olive oil accompanied them. My son enjoyed his mini size pizza (which was still larger enough to fill a dinner plate) and then we came to desserts. The Tiramusu was light and dreamy and the Italian cheeses were flavoursome with plenty of biscuits, celery etc. By the time we left the restaurant was packed and full of laughter. The waiter who served us was knowledgable, was attentive but we never felt rushed. The restaurant was originally set up by Italian's from Tuscany and we really did feel as though we had enjoyed a little bit of authentic Italy in Rochester. Something we didn't expect.

Telephoned to reserve a table the day before. The person who answered was very pleasant and customer friendly. They made you feel welcome before we even arrived.

On arrival we were shown to our table. Menus were provided and an opportunity to consider the drinks menu was given before the order was taken. The staff were very attentive and knew the menu.

The food was simply delicious. So full of flavour. Beautifully cooked.

An excellent evening that will definitely lead us to a return visit.

I hadn't been here for a few years but was taken for lunch by a friend and the food and service was very good. It was so good we went back with friends the next evening. Food was really good and everyone in our party enjoyed it. There was 2 disappointments and that was one from my friend who loves tiramisu and she was disappointed with this and said it tasted very bland. She asked me to try it and I must say it did taste bland it was as if there was something missing. Not being a fan of deserts I would say that the alcohol was missing from it but not sure. The other was that the portion of rosemary and garlic potatoes was rather small it was larger the day before. However I was also asked to try the chocolate hazelnut ice cream which was delicious.

The rest of the meal and the service was very good and a great evening was had. We will be back for sure.
