OK, to be honest I stayed here through autumn 2009 and early 2010 and didn't want to tell you about it so that I could get a booking when I needed one! That said it gets very busy when there is an event at the NEC, this seems to be their primary business.
The hosts are outstanding, you immediatly feel at home, such nice people. Little things like they remember what you like for breakfast.
The property is a georgian house on the high street, expect some creaky floors, some odd shaped ceilings and beams - just as a georgian house should be.
The rooms differ a fair bit, there are small ones and big ones, there is even one in a converted cellar (thats a big one and worth having). Don't expect anything too lush, practical, clean, decent, honest but not luxurious.
I'm working in a different area now.
The thing that makes this place is the owners, you are guaranteed to be made to feel welcome.More
