My wife and I stayed for a sadly brief visit on our way to Glenfinnan, in October. What a charming, friendly, hospitable, comfortable and delightful place to stay. I would happily have paid double the incredibly reasonable rate. Our room was lovely, with a view across to Loch Eil. Our hosts were totally accommodating, flexible, and warm. The breakfast was a decent and delicious man-sized affair in a kitchen that was clean and welcoming. Ellie and Barry and great. Barry's ex-Army charm and easy manner complimenting Ellie's sweetness perfectly! Thank you both. We shall be visiting again.

The Welcome was very friendly and made to feel at home straight away. The room was very confortable and we had everything we needed. The bathroom facilities were excellent including the "smellies" provided. Breakfast filled you up for the day, plenty to choose from. Only a short drive from Fort William.

Room Tip: We only saw the ground floor room which we stayed in , lovely views over hills and wildlife.

We stayed here for a night in July 2011 with our young nephew, for whom the free wifi access was very welcome. Everything is clean, fresh and new in the house - it seems that the owners have renovated it very recently. The rooms were very comfortable, with lovely ensuite facilities in the one upstairs. The welcome was warm and friendly, and we saw a red deer from the bedroom windows within a couple of hours of arriving ! We got good advice on where to eat locally and what to see and do in the area. The breakfast was excellent. The only slight drawback is that you need to park in front of the house in a recess off the main road. It isn't a terribly busy road but the traffic does go very quickly so you would need to watch small children. We would certainly stay here again if we were in the area.

We would like to thank you for taking the time to write a lovely review of Ardarroch Cottage and we are very pleased that you and your nephew had a good stay with us. Your comments on parking on the road were duly noted and over the last few years we have been working to enable suitable parking off road, at the side of the house. This is now completed and all guests can now park on the newly prepared gravel car park at the side of the house.

Many thanks,
Ardarroch Cottage
