Description: At the Old Station Restaurant & Bar we offer great locally sourced food at reasonable prices. Dine in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, in the unique setting of a converted Victorian railway station on the world famous West Highland Line. We are located at Spean Bridge station where the Commandos began their training during the Second World War. Relax beside the fire in our public bar and enjoy local real ales. We are the only bar in the village serving real ale on draught. We also have a good selection of malt whisky, Scottish gins and wine. We have a gluten-free menu which is available on request. Children are very welcome ... And we even have a special menu for the wee ones! Our Bar is open from 5pm until late in high season. Our Restaurant is open from 5.30pm until 9pm

“Excellent Evening”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

As one of a team of five cyclists who had escaped from Coire Glas for the evening, we were more than impressed with both the reception and the food here. The host welcomed us from the kitchen and joined us later in playing the guitar with one of our party. The constant mickey taking by the barman over our choice of B&B was something I would have delighted in doing myself, given the opportunity. As the non Mitchell brother it was entertaining. I'm not sure what I would have done if "Sybil", our landlady, had turned up.
The whole evening was excellent, food and drink second to none and I would return tomorrow.
As for Coire Glas, read the revues and decide for yourself!

“Smudges return”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

We have visited this area several times in the last 5years and after our first meal here have always returned. Food cooked to perfection is the order of the day here! Not only the unusual surroundings but lovely staff and a chef who cooks the best steaks we have ever tasted. The bar is also well stocked and if you are lucky the chef will play guitar when he has finished. Anyone visiting Spean Bridge and the Nevis and Fort William area would be mad to miss it, but make sure you book in advance.

“Fine Dining at the Station”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

There was a very good choice of menu and the food was both delicious and very well presented. The service was attentive but never intrusive. We had a most enjoyable meal in well appointed and comfortable surroundings. Although the restaurant was busy, our meal was not rushed with just the right interval between courses. Highly recommended - would definitely eat there again.

“a Great place to eat”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

By accident we arrived at the Old Station when we Walked the Great Glenn way in 2010. We were very hungry and had a delicious meal at a good price. The place is fabulous. I at once felt at home and that's thanks to the people who work there..
I've been back there twice in 2012 and 2014 and it's allways been good.
Good service, good food and drinks, I can recommend it to everyone. And if you are lucky there's some good music to listen to or join in to..
I for sure will come back.....
