We went to eat there one night as we were staying in roybridge, we found the other places to be very unsuitable in the area, so we tried one last place which was here. The atmosphere was lovely in the bar, and the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. We ordered some food off the menu which was very nice indeed at a very fair price (especially compared with russell's up the street). The toilets could do with a revamp, but overall it was very pleasant, and simple, which is just what we were after. It also has a pool table, which was fun!

We stayed here late Summer/ early Autumn 2011 for one night on our trip to Scotland. From the website we thought it looked a reasonable place to stop over with the price being £65 for two. Upon arrival from the outside it appears more of a motel, it is next to the road with a large parking area in the front.

We were taken to our room, the whole hotel had a musty smell and a strong odour of frying from the kitchen. The decor you could tell was very dated and not kept clean. There was dust and cobwebs in most places, it felt quite dirty, along with the bed covers having stains on, mould in places and wallpaper peeling off.

We had a full English breakfast which was basic but ok. Upon paying we stated that we were not prepared to pay the price advertised for what we received, after explaining we got a discount from the advertised price.

If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay, find somewhere else. There are lots of other great places to stay in the area.

The hotel is fairly basic but clean, it is fine as an overnight stop. Gairlochy is 4 miles away so it's a bit of a walk form The Great Glen Way. Most people would recommend using the local taxi service especially if your feet and legs are tired.

We stayed here whilst walking the Great Glen Way, it looks nothing like it's picture on the website. The room we stayed in was not clean, bedding did not seem fresh at all. I was up the whole night scratching from what I really did believe was bed-bugs, the room was cold after our long walk in the rain, therefore we all just went to bed. The towels in the bathroom didn't look clean at all, therefore we decided we would rather go without than risk it. The only saving grace was the friendly staff and a nice cooked breakfast that couldn't be faulted in itself, but I found it difficult to enjoy my food due to a) the rank musty smell emitting from the general area, and b) is the kitchen clean if the bedrooms/bathrooms are not? I wouldn't stay here again.

Can't really contradict the previous reports but place is being run by one lovely woman, Liz, who has been through the mill and couldn't do enough for our group of 8 walkers. You get what you pay for and the food we got, the attention we received and service from Dana & Liz was well worth it.

The only saving grace in this place are the friendly staff. The room I stayed in wasn`t clean and the ceiling in the shower room had partially collapsed. Dust and spiders webs covered the lampshades and the tiles in the shower were loose and looked like they were about to fall off. Judging by the decor I would estimate that the rooms haven`t been decorated for 30 years. I was leaving early so was given a packed lunch ,consisting of ham sandwiches, instead of breakfast. This, however, this was handed to me the night before and was therefore sitting in my room all night. I left it in the bin.
I was walking the Great Glen Way and the owner told me the Hotel was only 2 miles from the route, it`s not, it is fully four miles.
There are a number of great B&Bs in the area, I`d advise you to book in to one of them and leave the Aonach Mor well alone.
