Spent a week at the lodges at the start of April.
The owner Janet was there to greet us and made us more than welcome as did her two black labs jasper and Ben.
The lodge we had( the higher lodge of the three) was perfect, great views, cosy and spotlessly clean.
My two kids aged five and seven had a great time exploring the beach and playing around the lodge.
Sadly my old German Shepherd couldn't keep up on this holiday and found the slope back and forward to the water a bit much.
I would happily recommend this location to anyone who lies self catering holidays and me Sara,Molly,Andrew and cass the dog had a great stay.
Janet is a great host and very helpful, hope to return.

Had an amazing time in a lodge here. We stayed over Valentines day at an incredible rate. The owner was so wonderfully kind and helpful with getting us to and from the lodge, would have had to pay a taxi to get us there so do note: if you don't have a car make sure you get in touch to arrange your transport!! We were luckily staying when the lodge wasn't busy so the owner could give us a complimentary lift! I don't think this is common practise but it does show how the owners care about their guests.
We trained in and did a shop at the Morrisons right next to the station at Fort William. There is a sneaky Lidl/Aldi right behind the Morrisons though that we didn't notice so could have saved us a couple of pennies if we had!
The lodge itself was wonderful, a proper log cabin. Weather was on and off but that's Scotland for you. Enjoyed it rain or shine to be honest and luckily we got a bit of both. Enjoyed a lovely walk and the scenery is beyond incredible.
Everything was clean and we were well provided for - take your own towels! We forgot and had to borrow some! This IS self catering place so you won't find your sugar and milk etc. However the kitchen is kitted out with cooking equipment, plates, cutlery etc. You won't need to bring bedding though which I think some places require.
It'll take some getting used to with how the hot water and heating work so just make sure you give the water a good while to heat up before you use it! *we left it on the second night for about 3hours to make sure we had a nice hot bath on our last night!
Over all my boyfriend and I really had the most amazing break, away from everything and everyone. Leave the laptops, leave the mobiles. This is no place to taint with internet!

We stayed at the highland lodges for a family Easter break. The lodges are spacious and spotless with everything you need for a weeks break. Well worth getting our ASDA groceries delivered, so we were ready to enjoy our holiday straight away! The views are absolutely stunning and the kids loved running down to the pebbly beach to skim stones while mum and dad enjoyed the view and a barbecue! Avoid the overcrowded, noisy holiday camps and try here....we spent days walking the Great Glen Way which is so picturesque and gets the whole family out in the fresh air, or drive to Fort Augustus to watch the boats and visit the glass blowing shop also loads of places to eat there. We walked a mile down the road in the evening to the eagle lodge barge for a bite to eat one night, which was lovely, but do try to book in advance, it's popular with the boaters who moor up for the night. As I said we enjoyed just making a picnic and walking , then sitting at the loch side enjoying the views, and the kids didn't ask for their iPads or Xbox once!!
Ps, thank you Janet.

Room Tip: All lodges have awesome views.

The Lodges are in a gorgeous location, well off the beaten track. They are next to Loch Lochy which is lovely and serene. They have all that you need for a comfortable stay. Despite the time of the year they were so cosy and warm.
Completely surrounded by nature. Visited every night by Pine Martens that come right outside the lodge so can sit and watch them through the window. During the day you will see many varieties of birds. Good walks to be had easily accessible on the land as it is part of the Great Glen way.
Came home completely chilled after 5 night stay.
