Nice staff, clean hotel, good food. Views are beautiful. Stayed two nights, Scottish breakfast on first morning was cold but this was rectified immediately. Sockets in our room weren't well positioned for kettle.

After climbing Ben Nevis the Letterfinlay Lodge Hotel was a great place to relax! Upon arrival staff were very helpful and polite. We chose to have dinner in the hotel that night, it was of a high standard and the picturesque view from the restaurant really was stunning - the decking was a bonus as we were able to enjoy a drink outside before dinner. The only tiny thing that we weren't a huge fan of was the bath/shower (the green bathroom - room 4), it was leaking and the taps were very sensitive making it a bit difficult to maintain a pleasant temperature!! However the breakfast was another high note - delicious, good choice and served promptly. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area!!

Room Tip: Rooms on Loch side have a much better view.

Thank you for your review, I am pleased that you found our staff helpful and polite and I will pass on your comments to them. Sorry that you did not like our original Art Deco ensuite bathroom most of guests love it, it is a bit leaky but this is due to the fact it is the original suite. I will pass on your great comments re the food to our kitchen staff and we hope you come back and we will reserve a different room for you.
Kind regards

We stayed just one night on our journey through to Mallaig and chose Letterfinlay Lodge for it's beautiful location. We chose to eat in the restaurant rather than travel in to Fort William and enjoyed a decent meal. The hotel seemed fairly busy and this may have accounted for the fact our bathroom sink had not been cleaned at all with toothpaste and tidemark quite visible, odd given the rest of the bathroom's condition. i did mention this discreetly at check out and the staff member was very apologetic. The lodge's location is unparalleled but could do with some tlc in parts.

Thank you so much for the review, I am sorry that you found your sink had toothpaste on it, I only wish that you had brought it to our attention at the time and not discreetly at checkout to ebable us us the opportunity to rectify it as this should never have happened and i have passed on your comments to our Housekeeping team and i can assure you it will not happen again.

Had a fantastic stay at this Lodge. The staff were very warm and friendly, special thanks to Lindsay. Our room was just beautiful. Enjoyed breakfast (french toast, bacon and maple syrup!) whilst overlooking the loch. For true highland hospitality & scenery - stay here! We considered staying in Fort William, glad we choose here instead.

One of the nicest hotels that we have ever stayed in. Large rooms. Ours had a marvellous Art Deco version of the famous Edwardian bath. Wooden panelling. Attentive charming staff, rooms serviced meticulously. Excellent Highland breakfasts. Delightful views with a lovely decked area overlooking the Loch. Lots to see and do in the neighbourhood. Dinner category 2a. Rather irritating £5-95 etc. on the menu. Why not let your yea be a yea and say £6-00? Hope they keep the old baths. Definitely NOT for the hotel chain brigade
but if you like old fashioned comfort and service then this is the definitely the hotel for you.

My husband and I and two other couples stayed here for one night after the first day of walking the Great Glen Way. Letterfinlay Lodge is located in the most amazing setting with the best views of any accommodation we had during our journey along the Lochs in the Great Glen. We were fortunate to arrive on a lovely sunny afternoon and having a beer on the deck in the late afternoon was stunning. Dinner and breakfast were both very good and all staff were friendly and helpful. We were extremely grateful that a staff member was able to organise a taxi to pick us up in the morning and drop us off at Gairlochy to start day 2 or our Great Glen Walk. Our room was exceptionally spacious, clean and comfortable. Do not expect five star luxury accommodation because that is not what you are paying for. However I believe we received very good value for money and we really enjoyed our nights stay in this lovely scenic spot.

What a great location for a hotel, stunning views over the loch and a great base to tour the area from. The staff were very friendly and provided great service, the food was great and good value. The only negative thing I could say is that the rooms could do with a lick of paint, but there are signs that a refurbishment programme is already under way. I would recommend the letterfinlay lodge to anyone for either a few nights stay or simply a meal overlooking the loch.
