“Unforgettable memories with my friends in Cowbridge”
Reviewed 9 January 2014

My friends and I traveled in Cardiff for our holiday and we wanted to stay in the peaceful countryside for one night. Cowbridge was the perfect place where we expected. When we contacted to the Guest House, they gave a prompt response and it was detailed. The location was good as a countryside Guest House. Room, bathroom and kitchen... everything was clean.
Also, the breakfast with classic dishes was nice. After having breakfast, we enjoyed walking in the fields and seeing sheep and horses in the morning. I will never forget this trip in Cowbridge!

The guest house was clean and out from town and very quiet. Gardens and grounds were very well kept. Separate guest lounge with TV and beverage amenities. Breakfast was traditional English style breakfast. Great value

Bryn-Y-Ddafad, a small bed&breakfast outside the historic town of Cowbridge, is a real treat for people who appreciate gardens. The bedrooms themselves are very comfortable and well-appointed but it's the owners' gardens that make the property so unique. We visited in July so many of the flowers were in full bloom, and the gardens will participate in the National Garden Scheme in early August. Also worth seeing on the property is the owners' water recycling system. If you are an avid gardener, this bed&breakfast and its gardens make for a very pleasant stay.

Not quite knowing what to expect in this rural retreat we were pleasantly surprised. The quality of the food and general hospitality made it a well worthwhile visit even if the weather was decidedly damp

Just come back from a long weekend (30/11/12-02/12/12) at this wonderful guest house. we have stayed here many times over the years and think of June and Glyn as friends. They are so warm and friendly and always glad to see us. Breakfast is always a treat, really sets you up for the day. The Location is fantastic with brilliant views over the valleys. we always stay in the castle view room but all the rooms are lovely and bright and homely. Cardiff is only a short drive away, Cowbridge is just up the road and is a wonderful market town with some interesting shops and restaurants.
We will definetely be going back to stay and look forward to our next visit. ideal for a quiet retreat.
would recommend to anyone

Bryn-y-Ddafad is a delightful Country Guest House with charming hosts! The breakfast is superb---ample choice, dishes freshly prepared, GOOD coffee [ & tea ]---all served in a timely fashion in attractive surroundings. The bedrooms are comfortable, tastefully decorated and offer a lovely view of the surrounding countryside.Off the beaten track, the Guest House is set in quiet, peaceful surroundings yet within easy access by car to Cardiff, Cowbridge and other places of interest in the Vale of Glamorgan.I would return without hesitation.Highly recommended!

Wow- great location, beautiful gardens, Fantastic and attentive hosts with an incredible attention to detail. Its the best yet. I only wish I could have stayed longer. The host's local knowledge was amazing too I could have chatted for hours.
Breakfast was wonderful and included a Welsh specialty laverbread which was a yummy addition. I would definitely recommend a good stay there.
