We were so pleased to have chosen Sonara Resort for our honeymoon. It is the most beautiful place we have been to so far and we had the most wonderful time during our stay at your resort. Our entire trip starting from getting a warm welcome from the Sonora staff at the Esso Avitat (south terminal, Vancouver airport) to seeing us off at the loading dock during our return trip was just exceptional. Everything was just so perfect, the location, lodging, food, entertainment and the staff. It felt like we were spending time with family.

We would like to thank the staff at Sonora Resort for their most excellent hospitality during our stay at Sonora Resort and we will for sure recommend this place to our family and friends.

We just got home from a wonderful weekend at Sonora. We were part of a large group that gathered there for a wedding and it was just breathtaking. The location is gorgeous, the rooms are beautiful, the food is delicious and the staff is truly unbelievable. We were treated like one of the family. Everyone is friendly, gracious and they really go that extra mile. Special thanks to Father James, Sean, Donna, Samantha, Daniel, Jeff, and Chelsea. We didn't want to leave.

I live in British Columbia and know how beautiful it is, and still I found my trip to Sonora jaw-dropping! If you have never seen grizzlies up close, this is the place to do it. Hard to believe they are just ONE of the highlights. The resort sits in one of the most beautiful sites, the travel to & from Vancouver is painless, 45 minutes in a super deluxe helicopter. Ecotours to see bears, eagles (lots of them) sea lions, whales and elephant seals and some of the wildest rapids in the world are in a smooth, fast zodiac boat. Fishing is with great guides and top of the line boats. That should be enough but the resort also serves spectacular cuisine, a new tasting menu that reflects the cuisine of the region. I have never seen such enthusiastic and amazing guest comments as the ones in the Guest Book at the resort.

We have just returned from a phenomenal 3-day retreat at Sonora Resort. This was by far the most luxurious resort we have been to and the accomodations, the staff and food were all fantastic. We fished every day and caught lots of salmon. We watched movies, went to the spa, played games and relaxed in the hot tub. A wonderful way to end the summer by being spoiled and pampered everyday.

We had a great time. Sonora Resort is absolutely goregous and set in a spectacular natural setting in British Columbia. Even if you don't fish, you will love it. The food, the rooms, amenties, spa are all amazing! And the fishing is great, too. The guides handle everything for you! We just sat back, relaxed and reeled in the fish! Ask Shay for a watermelon mojito!

My husband and I just returned from a glorious 6 day stay at the Sonora Resort. This was by far the most luxurious resort we have been to and the accomodations, service, and food were out of this world. The chef prepared five course tastings every night and the presentation was superb! Each dish was a piece of art and a culinary delight! The staff was superior accomodating our every need and even prepared a basket of food for us when we asked to have our room mini bar replenished!

The island is very secluded (1.25 hours from Vancouver Island by boat and the resort is the only facility on the island) and is surrounded by some of the most beautiful wilderness we have ever seen. Seals and bald eagles were a daily sight as we viewed the beautiful area from our oceanview room or from the wonderful dining room. The Wellness Center and spa treatments were excellent and the mineral pools overlooking the ocean were so relaxing. We also went on an eco-tour and were fortunate enough to see dolphins and even a bear! Fishing, Grizzly Bear Tours, and other tours are available, but if you just want to relax and not do anything, that is fine too.

If you are seeking seclusion, superior accomodations, incredible food and over the top service, you will LOVE the Sonora Resort. I would highly recommend this incredible five star resort. We will definitely return soon!
