“perfect end to a perfect holiday”
Reviewed 23 March 2014

At the end of our Tansania trip we spent 4 nights in this beautiful lodge. The lodge is located directly at the beach, The room was simple and clean and the food was great. Lena and her team delivered an unforgettable experience to us. It is a quite and peaceful place with very friendly people around you and without any disturbance. A perfect place to relax. I would always prefer this kind of small familiar lodge to any "all-inclusive" resort.
My big thanks goes out to Lena and all her colleagues!!!!

to finish our safari we spent 4 nights in this calm hotel.
There were both positive and negative feelings.
le location is fine but a little bit far too from villages and excursions.
the food was really nice, and when you wanted to try a special dish the cook was happy to do it for you.
the room are simple, maybe little too much.
the local personnel was really friendly and attentive, which was not the case of the owners who almost yell at you when you suggest the very expensive excursions were not what you expected and could be improved.
in conclusion : it is a good hotel for the price, but if you can you afford it some others hotels are better

Stayed here for three nights and what a great stay. We stayed in a beach Banda with a separate block for toilets and showers. It was right on the beach and a great comfortable nice simple room with a fan. We ate breakfast here and couldn't believe the choice they give you compared to other hotels that include breakfast. Also ate dinner in the evenings which was also superb. The food was great everytime and always had a different menu each evening. Staff is brilliant. So friendly and attentive. Would tell anyone to come here while there are in Jambiani. And you must try the banana and peanut butter milkshakes simply yummy!

Stayed here for 4 nights end of July - we were lucky enough to be given room/hut 2 which is right on the beach - absolutely perfect. Great room (spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean), great service - the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Food was good - it was real little gem of a place and would highly recommend it. We were told everywhere we went that it was high season but in all honesty we couldn't see any evidence of this - everywhere seemed quite peaceful and quiet. This is NOT the place to come to if you're looking for the nightlife - but if you're wanting peace, relaxation, wonderful sandy beach .... then this is for you. Would recommend 100%

Room Tip: Room/Hut 1 and 2 are right on the beach - we were lucky enough to be given Room 2 (double bed and a...

We stayed 2 nights in the Bahari View Lodge with our two small children and we loved every minute. We haven't seen other rooms/cottages inside, but our stelted cottage was right on the beach, next to the bar. It was comfortable and spacious. We had hot running water in the morning, afternoon and at night, which we enjoyed very much. The people working in the lodge are extremely friendly, the bartender playing soccer with our boys and helping them open up a coconut. The restaurant serves delicious food, breakfast, lunch or dinner and the fresh fruitjuices at the bar are superb. We can only say: go there... And for us: we will for sure return as soon as possible! Ps A very nice extra is the fact that the rooms are cleaned twice a day. In the morning and during dinner time. So when you get back to the room to sleep, you'll find a clean bathroom and no sand inside...Excellent service!

Room Tip: We had room number 1, which is a room with a double bed and 2 single beds. The room has it's own...

We have just returned from a wonderfully peaceful few days staying in the gorgeous little house on stilts which is possibly the most charming of the Bahari View Lodges.

It is beautifully decorated with a healthy sized bed and bathroom and sits just back from the sea and the high tide mark. There is a large hammock nearby and a sun shade to rest under and read during the day, which though it doesn't belong to the house is basically yours.

We loved the little touches such as the flowers on the beds and the way the rooms are prepared again in the evening and sprayed for mosquitos (we didn't see any) as well as the nets put down. The African staff at this lodge are kind, helpful and discreet. The beach is prepared each morning (the night's seaweed removed) better than most places in Jambiani, and the trees, birds and nature seem to flourish much better here than at the bigger resorts.

We walked along most of the beach from nearby Jambiani to Paje and popped into many of the restaurants and hotels en route, but didn't find anywhere with more charm than our sweet house on stilts with a view of the Ocean. The size and intimacy of this resort seems just right. The great thing is that you can pop into other places for drinks or meals during the day for variety, though the bar and restaurant here are still excellent.

Room Tip: Some of the smaller huts are charming - we were lucky to stay in the brown mud one on stilts

This was really a pleasant place; beautiful beach, beautiful rooms. And the staff was really great. It's hot on Zanzibar, so thankfully they had both ceiling and floor fans. I'd definitely stay here again!
