we were at the nazri march 9th till 24th we had a fantastic stay, this was our first time at the nazri we arrived at 10.30am and our room was ready but there was a problem,I had emailed the week prior to arriving, for a field facing view, but on arrival we had a lovely room but it overlooked the staff quaters and a rather large rubber tree, I went to reception to complain where the receptionist silvia who was very patient with me and most polite at all times told me that all the standard rooms overlooked the courtyard and only the superior rooms had a field and pool view,i was escorted to see 4 other rooms with view to upgrade which cost £276 for the two weeks stay, which worked out cheaper than booking a superior room with cosmos , the fourth room was great it was on the top floor of c block and overlooked the fields room 946 this was our room for our 2 week stay
The room was very large with big balcony overlooking the fields and part view of the pool it was great having a cup of tea in the morning watching the eagles, kites and occasional vulture hunting for prey or the cranes following the cows hunting for insects
on to the room the lighting was not vey bright but i use to remove the shade which was fine , the air con was fab and very cool ,also there was a ceiling fan which helped circulate the cool air ,a very large bed with chezlong in the corner, plenty of room for clothes for two weeks although I had to ask for more coat hangers which arrived at a instant, a large tv with plenty of english channels ,mini fridge stocked with barcardi breezer, beer, juices etc, & tea & coffee making facilities
the bathroom had a bath with shower toilet and washbasin extracor fan very large mirror, and hairdryer,be careful if you have long hair and dry your hair upside down i tangled my hair in the propellor of the drier some how after that i used it with caution
The food at the nazri was very good and reasonably priced the seafood pasta salad is excellent & peppered streak with vegatables ,breakfast consisted of cereal ,eggs any way you like them, fruit juice , toast ,toaster is slow so be prepared to stand & put your toast in 3 times baked beans ,chicken sausages, choice of fruit, melon, pineapple,or mango,my favourite was the pancakes all flavours, mango, chocolate, strawberry, roseberry with the nazris mixed fruit jam on these were to die for and a good selection of other foreign dishes there is something there for the most picky eaters
the pool was very clean and the sunbeds were very comfortable towels were provided to sunbathe around the pool but be warned you are not allowed to take the towels to the beach so either pack your beach towel or buy one from the millions of shops
you cannot go wrong with this hotel it is close enough to the beach and shops and bars but positioned just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the main road
we hired a bike from the shop next door we were only going to have it for the day but ended up keeping it for 8, it worked out to £2,50 a day this was our second visit to goa the first time we said no way would we ride on the road its crazy and they ride on the wrong side if they cannot get past ,but its a great way to get around and see the sights of goa you would not see otherwise see ,my partner is a excellent driver so was not worried about traveling with him it was just the other drivers on the road,we travelled right up to tiracol fort the high scenic view of the tiracol river with house boats & fishing boats is breathtaking this is right up north next to the state of maharashtra and as far down as panjim formerly panaji
I would deffinately return to the nazri and would recommend to family and friends I hope when you read this review you decide to stay there too.

Room Tip: all standard rooms face into the courtyard ,deluxe room have the pool & field view block c has t...

We stayed at the hotel part of the Nazri last year, this year we stayed S/catering at a private 1 bedroom apartment within the same hotel.
Out apartment was clean and comfy, the bedroom was really big, Kingsize bed and had lots of wardrobe, draws, and shelf space. There was a sitting room with flatscreen TV and everything you needed to make your self a light meal. Big fridge for drinks ect. The couch also could be made up as a bed if needed.
This hotel is a real oasis of calm when you get in from lively Baga.
I would add that the hotel is really cracking down on our Russian friends regarding bringing drinks into the hotel, and loud behavior. There were only a few Russians when I was there and I was there for 2 months.
I would recomend this hotel but even more the apartments , as it allows you to have the best of both worlds. The facilities of a good hotel , yet free to make a meal for your self if you so wish.

Room Tip: Apartment found on owners direct.

Stayed at nasri resort for 14 nights from 9th March to 24th March 2012 and from the moment we stepped into the reception area of the hotel we were extremely impressed. The check in staff wasn't the quickest but with staff courtesy it was totally acceptable. We were very impressed how clean the hotel was and rooms are cleaned daily. The swimming pool was very clean and a great size and poolside towels are provided daily even if you go to the beach......
The nice open Paddy fields behind hotel adds to the ambiance of the hotel. Breakfast was nice as there was a variety for breakfast for western and indian guests and all staff very polite and helpfull. Excellent location as only 5 to 10 minute walk to baga beach. good variety of shops and restaurants walking distance from the hotel. When we return to Goa we will definitely stay in this hotel again. Highly recommend and will be re-visiting again next year..........

this is the best resort we can have. we were a group of 14 persons and booked 6 rooms from 19/3/2012 to 23/3/2012. The rooms are good and clean. very punctual service. my A/c malfuntioned at 11.30p.m. and immediately they sent the electrician and got it rectified. Breakfast was very good. very near to TITO's and Mambo's. Beach is almost at walkable distance. dot at point of nightlife. so every one can enjoy

Room Tip: can go and book

Lovely place & the ambience was very nice n quiet. All the staffs from the reception to the restaurant were all very helpful, friendly, polite but most of all was the F & B Mngr Shane Lobo & the G.M. Peter Silveira who were down to earth people, & made me feel so much at home.

The Room(C-928) was excellent very clean & spacious with a fridge/electronic safe/cable tv the works....

The Restaurant was upto the mark where food was concerned & their desserts were superb as well.
A lovely place for the family as well since i was on a business trip i had come alone, the next tym I come down it will be the full family....

Many Thanks,

Frank L

This was our third visit to the Nazri. Although this year we had hired a flat within the complex the staff and management treated us with the same as other paying guests. This resort has an excellent pool, reasonably priced meals and is very homely and friendly. We realy enjoyed our stay once again. Staff are friendly and polite. We shall be going back next year.

Room Tip: Try to get a room in block C, it over looks the Baga fields and there is a beautiful sunrise.

I have just returned from nazri for the 4th time and am booking next year with my family again.
when we arrived we where given a free up grade by peter the manager and this really made our holiday special as we where cellabrating our pear wedding anniversery 30 years.
The staff and managment at this hotel are fantastic so polite and helpfull especially the reception staff and the restarant manager SHANE who runs a tight ship ha but the most helpfull man I have ever met.
While we where there my elderly aunt had to be addmited to hospital and Shane prepared food each day to take to the hospital for her as the hospital food was awful.
The tailor at this hotel is good for mens clothes and the jewler is good although a bit expensive compared to some jewlers.
Our main man is BOBBY the taxi driver who works for the nazri hotel along with his cousin sanjay who also works for the hotel as a taxi driver BOBBY is brilliant very cheap and very honest we book him every year and have become good friends but he is not a pest he is a genuine nice guy so look out for him and ask reception staff to book him or sanjay for you as they will look out for you and take you on some good trips .
The rooms are cleaned each day and the cleaners do little figures on your bed each day which is another nice touch.
The pool men who get your sun beds around the pool are very good nothing is to much trouble and pool area and sun beds and towels are spotless.
Valentines night this year was fantastic and a lot of hard work goes into preparing for it.
can I point out that you can go badly wrong in Goa when it comes to choosing a hotel as the standards are not so good and because of the poverty all around you this means you have to have a good clean hotel to return to each day and I must say the Nazri is one of the best by far.
We booked this hotel for a month from 10 th feb to 10 th march with 20 of our family and when we where all booking in we had the reception staff up the wall because we where all reqesting different things but Denesh and Sylvia and the desk manager where brilliant and made sure we had all our needs seen to and thanks to Denesh for single beds Ha.
Beach shacks are good we used the lucky star down ti tos road and cafe del mar and ladies get your nails done by the nail lady in the lucky star she is brill her name is sharad .
the Nazri was one of the best meals especially the steak but east meets west opposite the nazri is also brilliant.
Can we also recomend a good clean dentist which is Doctor Sonia in Calingute she is not only cheap but very good she done all,are familys teeth and lazer cleaned them for 65 pound cost 300 TO 400 pound in England .
see you next year nazri and thanks to Peter the Manager for our up grade
Best wishes Paula and Richie Mcloughlin
