“Fantastic”
Reviewed 20 April 2012

Having researched hotels in Baga my girlfriend and I chose the Nazri Resort for our first trip to Goa.

Whilst driving through Baga from the airport we saw several other hotels which we did consider, on seeing each of these hotels we kinda looked at each other thinking ‘thank god we’re not staying there’ We pulled into the Nazri resort and can safely say it was just what we had hoped. It appeared very clean and quiet, with a security guard on the front entrance.

We were checked in and shown to our room promptly with no problems. The room had a double bed, TV, fan, a/c, mini fridge, wardrobes, drawers etc and most importantly a clean bathroom.

The breakfast was decent, better than either of us had anticipated. The pool was clean, the sun loungers were great, the waiters were friendly and very helpful.

The location of the hotel is great, a two minute walk to Baga beach and literally on the door step of all the bars and restaurants.

Our fridge was refilled every day and the room cleaned to a great standard.

Overall we felt safe at the Nazri, we were more than happy with the cleanliness (which was our main worry with Goa.) We recommend this hotel and can’t fault our visit.

I ma from Iran and stayed 10 days in Nazri resort in March 2012 with a bunch of freinds and we really enjoyed our accommodation condition. This resort is very clean and in good shape. The pool is surrounded by a quite big garden facing the greenland and a beautiful landscape. Garden is separated by fence from the green land so you can enjoy the scenery even from inside of hotel. Staff are freindly and rooms are clean and comfortable. It was the second year we stayed in Nazri and hope to repeat iit again.

Room Tip: I prefer delux rooms

within one night we check out from this hotel breakfast area was not very specious and staff are very rude.

We had another excelent stay in this hotel, stayed in the large deluxe rooms again which face the pool and the the marshes, which although the hotel is right on the road front is very quiet so you get the best of both worlds. All the staff were great and never bother you for tips, the comfortable bed and room were spotlessly cleaned and changed everyday, we asked for four towels and got them everyday for the whole month we stayed, and the cleaners made some amazing animals and designs out of them on the bed, one night we came in to find a six foot crocodile made from towels and other bits and pieces in the room, well impressed! The breakfast was really good and plenty to choose from, cereal, eggs done anyway you ask fruit tea coffee juices. You can eat round the pool at night which has entertainment most nights. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever,On my partners birthday she got a cake and flowers courtesy of the hotel and on leaving were given some presents too. If you want to be in a great location and have a quiet nights sleep, with aircon that works, stay here, Peter the Manager runs a tight ship and stands for no nonsense from drunk, loud, rowdy guests, who will find themselves out on the street, no messing!so you won't have to endure that rubbish night after night! He really is a top man and is right on top of everything. It's our second time, and Love it.

Room Tip: Choose the Deluxe rooms, a bit more money but pays out in spades. quiet and large, AC is fabulous...

we were at the nazri march 9th till 24th we had a fantastic stay, this was our first time at the nazri we arrived at 10.30am and our room was ready but there was a problem,I had emailed the week prior to arriving, for a field facing view, but on arrival we had a lovely room but it overlooked the staff quaters and a rather large rubber tree, I went to reception to complain where the receptionist silvia who was very patient with me and most polite at all times told me that all the standard rooms overlooked the courtyard and only the superior rooms had a field and pool view,i was escorted to see 4 other rooms with view to upgrade which cost £276 for the two weeks stay, which worked out cheaper than booking a superior room with cosmos , the fourth room was great it was on the top floor of c block and overlooked the fields room 946 this was our room for our 2 week stay
The room was very large with big balcony overlooking the fields and part view of the pool it was great having a cup of tea in the morning watching the eagles, kites and occasional vulture hunting for prey or the cranes following the cows hunting for insects
on to the room the lighting was not vey bright but i use to remove the shade which was fine , the air con was fab and very cool ,also there was a ceiling fan which helped circulate the cool air ,a very large bed with chezlong in the corner, plenty of room for clothes for two weeks although I had to ask for more coat hangers which arrived at a instant, a large tv with plenty of english channels ,mini fridge stocked with barcardi breezer, beer, juices etc, & tea & coffee making facilities
the bathroom had a bath with shower toilet and washbasin extracor fan very large mirror, and hairdryer,be careful if you have long hair and dry your hair upside down i tangled my hair in the propellor of the drier some how after that i used it with caution
The food at the nazri was very good and reasonably priced the seafood pasta salad is excellent & peppered streak with vegatables ,breakfast consisted of cereal ,eggs any way you like them, fruit juice , toast ,toaster is slow so be prepared to stand & put your toast in 3 times baked beans ,chicken sausages, choice of fruit, melon, pineapple,or mango,my favourite was the pancakes all flavours, mango, chocolate, strawberry, roseberry with the nazris mixed fruit jam on these were to die for and a good selection of other foreign dishes there is something there for the most picky eaters
the pool was very clean and the sunbeds were very comfortable towels were provided to sunbathe around the pool but be warned you are not allowed to take the towels to the beach so either pack your beach towel or buy one from the millions of shops
you cannot go wrong with this hotel it is close enough to the beach and shops and bars but positioned just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the main road
we hired a bike from the shop next door we were only going to have it for the day but ended up keeping it for 8, it worked out to £2,50 a day this was our second visit to goa the first time we said no way would we ride on the road its crazy and they ride on the wrong side if they cannot get past ,but its a great way to get around and see the sights of goa you would not see otherwise see ,my partner is a excellent driver so was not worried about traveling with him it was just the other drivers on the road,we travelled right up to tiracol fort the high scenic view of the tiracol river with house boats & fishing boats is breathtaking this is right up north next to the state of maharashtra and as far down as panjim formerly panaji
I would deffinately return to the nazri and would recommend to family and friends I hope when you read this review you decide to stay there too.

Room Tip: all standard rooms face into the courtyard ,deluxe room have the pool & field view block c has t...

We stayed at the hotel part of the Nazri last year, this year we stayed S/catering at a private 1 bedroom apartment within the same hotel.
Out apartment was clean and comfy, the bedroom was really big, Kingsize bed and had lots of wardrobe, draws, and shelf space. There was a sitting room with flatscreen TV and everything you needed to make your self a light meal. Big fridge for drinks ect. The couch also could be made up as a bed if needed.
This hotel is a real oasis of calm when you get in from lively Baga.
I would add that the hotel is really cracking down on our Russian friends regarding bringing drinks into the hotel, and loud behavior. There were only a few Russians when I was there and I was there for 2 months.
I would recomend this hotel but even more the apartments , as it allows you to have the best of both worlds. The facilities of a good hotel , yet free to make a meal for your self if you so wish.

Room Tip: Apartment found on owners direct.
