Description: Located on the tranquil Arpora-Baga creek road, J&A's Little Italy has built up a formidable reputation for producing quality Italian cuisine day after day, year after year, since 1995. A one hundred and forty year old fisherman's cottage, restored and set under coconut palms in a beautiful tropical garden. A well-stocked bar with imported and Indian spirits and wines, J&A's is the perfect setting for a romantic evening out with your partner or a fabulous evening out with a bunch of friends. This is after all, the first specialty cuisine restaurant to have opened up in Goa. Listed in the Lonely Planet, Rough Guides, Footprint Guide and other European guides, J&A's has bagged the best Italian Restaurant North Goa Award by the Times Good Food Guide, Food Awards , three years running.

I took my wife out to this place for a fine dining experience, and we weren't disappointed at all! The food was good, and so was the ambience. There was something unique in their ambience – it was very quiet in spite of this being on one of the main roads. This completely suited our purpose of visiting this place, which was to have a quiet and good dinner.
The waiters were cordial, and were very attentive towards the tables. The only thing that bothered us was the quantity of food – for the price-point of their dishes, the quantity of food was very little. One should be prepared to shell out quite an amount of money on a visit to this place :(

always dine here at least a couple of times during our holiday and was a little worried as each time we drove past there was never many people in in fact we wondered about going at all but we did and pleased to say all the normal standards and quality of food is being maintained can only think that a lot of people are being attracted to the new one ( go with the flow ) just down the road which we can understand as we have eaten there a couple of times but do not give up on J&As as the quality is being upheld

Recently went there and ordered the firewood pizza which was fantastic but the best is the seafood lasagne...creamy & just simply delicious. The chocolate soufflé is also a must try. Portion may be smaller as compared to thalassa in vagator. But for those who want a quieter ambience then head on to this restaurant.

This restaurant doesn't just offer great food--it offers great memories. Make sure to plan sufficient time for good conversation and easy laughter, and save room for the best part of the menu--dessert. Jamshed is a wonderful and professional host. He put me at ease right away, with great recommendations off the excellent and creative menu, and a big, welcoming smile. The seating area is covered, but completely open to the outside, making it especially nice to be there at night. The restaurant has a classy but comfortable ambiance. Even if all you want is a glass of wine, take the time to visit this restaurant. You won't regret it.

Love love love this place and is a must visit in Goa. It is a great non-touristy place near the Baga creek and I say this cos you don't get the teeny boppy riff raff crowd here. It is purely for the people who love their wine, their music and their well plated Italian fare. You can catch the owner Jamshed here ( the 'J' in J&A's stands for Jamshed & Ayesha). He is a great person to strike up a conversation with and more importantly get his choicest suggestions for your meal. As for the food we had Lasagne, Pastas with sauces of Pesto and another of Garlic and Cream. Squid butter garlic, basil starters..pizza and irish coffees (ok we had this over 2 visits :o)). Simply delectable food and great ambiance makes this place a must visit. They are open for dinner. Make a reservation during season.
