Baga is another of Goa's beaches that offer nothing more than a rash of plastic waste washed up by the sea. This was definitely my last time. Popular eateries are over-rated...

If you are thinking, calm peace , quiet, clean this beach is so not any of that,, as soon as you enter baga you were swept over with this crazy happening pulse, the huge market filled with colorful shops, shacks and restaurants,, the crowd is pulsating,, biggies like titos, mambos, Brittos leave you awestruck and fuel your imagination for a wonderful beach ,, as soon as you enter the beach you are taken back,, cause it's so not what it once was and what you expect it to be ... It's like chowpatty ,, food shack people shouting at you shoving menus in your face and literally forcing you to sit at their shack,, beach vendors troubling you to buy their stuff, same goes with sea sports, it's so crowded and pathetic crowds ,, plus you really have to watch where you step in the sand as it is that littered ,, there are so many loungers put up close together serving sheesha at sea ,, that at places you really don't get a glimpse of the sea at all. I couldn't take the smell or this entire scene and was out of there in less than 10 minutes ,. Sorry state of our beaches,,our own people or indian crowds fail to take care of our own beaches .... Sighhhh

During monsoon not much crowd. However, during season lot of crowd, drunkards, by evening it gets dirty, though safe and enjoyable. Not for peace and calm.

Completely filthy. No two ways about it. The place is worse than a municipal garbage heap. Don't take your family or female friends/relatives there either.

The beach is beautiful and water is clean too but visitors have made it a garbage esp. away from the shoreline, you ill even find bits and pieces of broken beer bottles and so very dangerous to walk barefoot. Lot of shacks nearby for food, but a tad pricey. Better beach than the neighbouring Calangute beach
