“Best view of Mahabaleshwar”
Reviewed 14 March 2013

You get a bird's eye view of Mahabaleshwar from here. There is a motor-able road leading to the point but you have to climb about 50 steps to reach the top, but it's well worth the trouble.

Reviewed 11 January 2013

overhiped !
Nothing great. One goes to Hill station to relax.
One can do without visiting .
The local self government should erract signages to indicate the places of interest for tourist-who get lost in absence of sign ages and than get flease by touts who say they are "guides"

“The Road less travelled !”
Reviewed 15 December 2012

The road to Connaught Peak reminds me of lines from Robert Frost's classic poem, The road less travelled, which I Quote
"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference." Unquote

Situated at an altitude of 1400m, Connaught Peak located on the Old Mahabaleshwar Road is the second highest peak in Mahabaleshwar. The peak can be trekked (not recommended for senior citizens) or reached on horseback.

The difference this challenging road makes is that .this peak offers magnificient views of the entire Mahabaleswar valley. Also Krishna Valley, Elphinston Point, Torana, Pratapgad and Venna Lake looks fascinating from the top of this peak. In all a must visit place
