The Sanctuary at Two Rivers
Reviewed 23 March 2014

Prepare yourself for an outdoor paradise with swinging vines, waterfalls, excotic gardens, star filled evenings, birds of paradise, and friendly monkeys. The "silence" of the jungle at Sanctuary is the music and rytheme of life. It felt like the jungle breeze passed right through us and the natural vibrations of the earth sang all day and night. The vegetarian gourmet freshly prepared food was so delicious it made our taste buds dance. The sleeping quarters where very comfortable and designed so we felt like one with the jungle surroundings. The outdoor showers..... Loved them.
Waking up at 5:15 each morning to the Howling monkeys was amazing. The hike to the top tower to witness the sunrise is so peaceful and beautiful. The yoga studio,...... non can compare. Its simply perfect. No music needed during Yoga, because the sounds of the jungle create beautful harmoney to your ears. The owner Jeff, and staff become your family. The little santuary dogs guide you through the rivers, orchards and jungle. They only ask in return for a good strach behind the ears, pat or maybe a little treat. They are the luckiest dogs alive. You will learn to walk slowly though this magical place, to not miss a second of the beauty that surrounds you. The pool was a special meeting place to relax and hang out with the other guests/friends. It is sooo relaxing to just sit at the pool surrounded by the jungle and its creatures. The birds we saw where so beautiful and they cherped the most magical sounds and it was as if they were chirping to us about being in this paradise. You will experience the best massage of your life. And you can travel to Montezumma, eat at the amazing restaurants there, go surfing, snorkeling, swim to islands that only have caves, sand, and crazy little crabs that inherited it. You will leave this jungle paradise feeling emotionally and physically cleansed. Do go to visit Sanctuary Two Rivers you will not regret it.

One week birding, yoga, and delicious ayurvedic prepared meals made this an incredibly memorable and wonderful experience at Sanctuary of Two Rivers. Each day was another delight. Liz's talent and intuition as a yoga leader were inspirational, challenging and restorative and each of our twice daily yoga sessions was another avenue of exploration... Jeff's vision, knowledge and super high energy helped us find every possible bird sighting across the 44 acres of amazing Jungle property... and Michelle and her team provided 3 meals a day of healthy, delicious, inventive and satisfying Ayurvedic vegetarian cuisine.

The accommodations to the open air are captivating... sleeping to the beautiful sounds of monkeys, nightlife, birds, was amazing. Open air shower - WOW!...

Yoga Pagoda and yoga open air is so energizing!.. and everywhere you go, you find another place that you want to stay awhile and savor the experience.

I highly recommend the Sanctuary!

I have been fortunate to have many amazing getaways, but this one tops them all. The Sanctuary is just that...a sanctuary. It is remote, private, stunningly beautiful, peaceful and magical. From the initial walk through the river and onto the property, the transformation begins. The accommodations are amazing, open, thoughtfully built and beautiful, complete with a shower facing the garden outside. The howler monkeys, jungle sounds and perfect breeze pull you into nature and the spectacular yoga pagoda brings your practice to a whole new level. The gourmet vegetarian meals are lovingly prepared and honestly the best I have ever had. I can’t rave enough about the staff and I highly recommend this magical, peaceful and transformative place.

A retreat where there are no judgements, where who you are is celebrated and expanded in a setting as natural and spectacular as any jungle movie you've ever seen. The yoga, the meditations, the hikes, services, food are not to be topped and the staff is upbeat, knowlegable, professional and loving. A most satisfying and joyous experience!

Room Tip: There are only good rooms. They are all hidden in the jungle, have showers (private) open to the ou...

Jeff, Liz and their small and helpful team make you feel staying with an extended family in a magnificant jungle paradise.

I stayed here throughout a Yoga retreat and we an amazing time.
Completly rejuvenating. Being connected with nature, letting go and enjoying being far away from civilisation.

We enjoyed the lovely Pagoda for Yoga (and listening to the monkeys and birds at the same time), the outstanding fresh organic food created by chef Michelle (** Quality!), wonderful massages and whatever treatment you may look for.

Watch the stars in the night from this remote place!

If you like additional action and don't want to stay here for the whole day there are other activities possible such as a good horseride, etc.

Thanks to you all in the Sanctuary team.
You made it an amazing and memorable stay!
