TRIP ADVISOR: Please change name of restaurant or contact the owner!!!
This cute little place serves very very good food. It doesn't look like much as you whiz by on the highway, but be sure to stop. You'll recognize it because it is built from beautiful logs (troncos, in spanish, hence the name).
The food here is mostly typical Costa Rican fare, but with lots of other options thrown in. The Shrimp Diavolo is fantastic, as is the Shrimp Ceviche and the Arroz con Camaron. Guess I must like shrimp!!! The owner and wait staff (Brian) are so incredibly friendly. The owner (sorry, can't remember his name) speaks perfectly good English, having spent time in the restaurant business in New Jersey, like most Ticos who go to the States. The food is very good and presentation is amazing. Please don't miss this restaurant on your trip to our beautiful Costa Ballena. Oh, and the margaritas are fantastic!
