While traveling with my kids through Costa Rica we stumbled upon this small gem in Costa Rica's South Pacific. It is located in Uvita which is small town situated close to the Ballena National Marine Park. We were able to go zipline at Osa Mountain, surf on Playa Hermosa, ride horses to an amazing waterfall, we saw whales and dolphins and did some snorkling all within a 15 mile radius of this small hostel/cabinas. Ronny the chef played host and served great inexpensive dinners of local seafood and typical Costarrican food such as lobster and casados. The rooms have hot water showers, ac, cable tv and wifi for about $25 a night per person.
The last two minutes of road to get there is unpaved so it seems very secluded but in fact it is a few minutes walk from banks, massages, restaurants and supermarkets.
In a place where new places open and close from one year to another I hope this little gem has some staying power.
