“Ejoyed spending time at the beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2014

My wife and I enjoy spending time at a beach. My wife likes to sun tan and I like to take long walks along the beach and take little dips in the water. This beach was pretty. The water was fairly rough when we visited it though.

“Beautiful, Natural Beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 May 2014

The beach itself was absolutely beautiful and the water was warm and clear. Just remember that it is an unguarded beach and there can be some dangerous rip currents.

“Nice and empty. A dream. The town is different...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 March 2014

The beaches are breath taking. There are not so many people. You can feel like living a dream.
Unfortunately as soon as you leave the beach you are back in ugly places: the town of Uvita (or any others), so so hotels... Enjoy.

“Don't miss this wonderful beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 March 2014

The beach (Playa Ballena) is part of the Parque Nacional Marino Ballena, and is shaped like a whale's tail that juts out into the sea. There is a 10 dollar entrance fee, well worth it. You then walk round the bay ( about half an hour....a lovely walk) to the whale's tail, where there is good sheltered swimming and snorkelling. Be aware that the walk cannot be done at high tide, so check locally first.

“Peace and Beauty”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 March 2014

Unbelievable beauty. Peaceful and calm during the week. Weekends finds not only tourists but the locals enjoying this beautiful beach. Walk out to the Whale's Tail as part of the Marina Baleena National Park
