We stayed at this gorgeous hotel for a week this summer. Our room was beautiful with loads of windows giving us fantastic views over the valley. Our son had his own room as part of our suite. The food was excellent, starting with a buffet breakfast with a lot of choice. Ham and eggs and scrambled eggs were offered - made to order - as well as a huge range of cold meats, cheeses, fruit cereals. They make their own butter and the eggs come from free range hens. Where possible all the food comes from their farm or is sourced locally.

Dinner was delicious too and sometimes they had a grill evening and other nights a farmers buffet with very traditional Austrian food. Beware though, their idea of 'light food' differs greatly from ours.

The family who run the hotel are so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They were lovely with our seven year old son too. As with most places in Austria and Germany, the hotel was immaculate and the wonderful spa centre was great. Best of all, there was a huge barrel filled with ice cold water in the open air that you could jump into when it got too hot in the sauna.

So how much do you reckon this cost for two adults and one child half board for a whole week in the superior room? About £900. I don't think that's bad for such quality and such a great location.
