On our vacation, we originally went to a bunch of little "mom and pop" wineries between Ston and Orebič. Though they were cute and fun, in their own way, the best wine I have tasted on this peninsula is at Korta Katerina. The grounds are lovely, but not in that quaint Croatian kind of way (more in the American money kind if way). You pay a bit for the tasting, in contrast to the mom and places that give you less wine. All in all, a really good experience.
