I tried the lamb tagine with dry fruits! And it´s incredible!
The pastries and the mint tea are also very good!

It´s better to call in advance to book a table coz the place is quite small!

If you enjoy good food and excellent service, then it is worth a trip to the L'Arganier. It's a very small restaurant, so might pay to book. We had the 18 euros each menu - which was a 3 course meal. The presentation and service matched the quality of the food. Suitable for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. You won't be disappointed.

Do yourself a favour. Treat yours yourself to some wonderful food. We went there twice and the food was beautiful. The spices Myriam Ryad uses compliments the dishes we had and did not over take the flavours of the lamb and chicken tagiens that we had and the Royal couscous.Delicious. It cost about 40 Euros for the two of us for a two coarse meal plus a carafe of red wine. We can highly recommend this restaurant.

This is a quaint little restaurant in Trebes just outside Carcassonne. It's akin to sitting in someones personal dining room and that's very much how the service works - very friendly and personal. The Chef even comes out to check your meals are good which is a nice touch.

We all opted for the plate of the day together with house wine (never a bad choice in France). Both were excellent. The beef, vegetables and couscous for main were delicious. The wine was so easy going we felt it necessary to order another carafe. Dessert was an interesting choice of tea and min pastries or ice cream.

I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely little restaurant if you are passing through Trebes and looking for a bite to eat off the beaten track! Great food, value and service.

We tried the lamb tagine and it was wonderful. We then had some pastries to share and they added a few complimentary ones. The staff were charming and we would have loved to go back - but as we were only in Trebes for two nights we thought we should venture into Carcassone! I think somehow we will revisit this lovely area and this great restaurant. I wish we lived nearer as it would certainly be a regular. Thank you Pierrette, from the Riverside home cottage chambre d'hotes for recommending.
