Visited the ski resort whilst staying over in Carcassonne in the nearby village of Villemoustaussou at Villa Laffon. Took us about 1 hr 40 on good easy roads. The weather was brilliant - bright blue skies and sun - but not too good for the skiers in our group - it made it hard work ski-ing down in the slush! We found the hotel excellent. Tremendously clean rooms with everything you could need. Very comfy beds, little table and chairs and well equipped kitchenette, tv, ironing board and very good bathroom. Breakfast - out of season - is ordered, if you want it - at an extra cost, and delivered to your room at your specified time. Loads to eat and good value. Pool area was excellent and the staff very helpful. Don't forget to take your own flip flops or you will have to purchase the flat-pack version on reception - 1 euro - but hell to try and walk in!!! Rooms were really warm in the night - but on the front of the hotel - when you open the window - you get the busy road noise - it's the main route to Andorra, or on the back you get the bin lorry at 5 am and then the church bells!!!! Ski lockers provided. Free parking across the road behind the Spa area. Ax a lovely place to visit. Be sure to make time to visit the Spa across the road - fantastic complex. Pools, saunas, spas, fountains, outside pools etc etc. Changing rooms - but facilities to dry hair etc a bit poor. Be sure not to go over the allotted 2 hours. Take your hotel reservation and you get a discount. Get the cable car up to the ski area. Local market on Tuesdays I think. Try a raclette in the local restaurants - yummy.
