“Really lovely!”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

We stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of July and what a find! The outside of the house is very unassuming but as the front door is opened and you are welcomed in by the charming young owners a whole new world opens up through the entrance hall (with table and chairs which you are welcome to use) onto a patio with seating and a sunken garden with sunbeds for the guests to use too.

All the bedrooms are completely individually decorated and they are all full of character. Check other reviews. We stayed in room 2 which was open plan to en-suite facilities, giving a real sense of space, great shower which was screened off and separate wc. We stayed during a heat wave and a huge bonus were the exterior electronic blackout blinds which were operated by the flick of a switch next to the bed. We slept so well.

The bedroom (room 2) is spacious and there are two comfortable chairs, dressing table, plenty of plug sockets, hairdryer, water, tea and coffee, a bench at the end of the bed which was useful and it has been so thoughtfully decorated in shades of grey it was just a pleasure to be there.

This residence has been lovingly and painstakingly refurbished by the owners themselves over several years and the attention to detail is quite 'out of a magazine'. Which it actually is - as it has been featured in many magazine articles over the last year or so, proof of which are there clearly marked for your perusal.

The breakfasts are just stunning - organic for a start - a selection of breads, homemade jams, and that's just for starters, each day a different type of individual platter arrived and later a 'surprise' (one day a warm dark chocolate cake with gooey centre was served with a little pot of baby strawberries in a little syrup with just a hint of mint!)...don't book lunch before mid afternoon!

We had breakfast on the upstairs terrace which has a sea view and as we were blessed with lovely weather it was great to eat outside. At the end of the day should you like to take a glass of your own beverage out into the garden the hosts are happy to provide any glassware required. They were also happy to recommend restaurants and even ring to book on our behalf.

There is ample free parking in the street outside and the seafront and shops are just a few minutes' walk away. The beaches are fabulous, stretching out a long way and as the tides move in and out you can watch people swimming and enjoying all sorts of water sports. Later in the evening we saw families picnicking on the sand and watched horse riders disappearing into the sunset!

Villa Providence and our hosts...superb!

Even when my wife and I book accommodation heartily recommended by Trip Adviser contributors, we are always just that little bit prepared to be disappointed. On our recent 2 day stay at the Villa Providence we shouldn't have been worried. The house is situated in a quiet side street (with free parking) just a short stroll from the beach and town centre.
The creators are a young architect and his wife who is an interior designer. Their combination of talents and a desire to be just a little bit different has been a total success. Just 3 lovely rooms - our room made my wife gasp with delight. A lovely warm and sincere welcome added to the pleasure. The rest of the house, garden and roof top terrace (for breakfast-weather permitting) are beautifully and imaginatively decorated with great attention to detail. Many "glossy" magazines and TV programmes have featured this property.
Breakfast was a real feast with mostly organic and home produced fare plus bread and pastries from a local bakery. Each morning a little "surprise treat" is included. We had homemade yoghurt and organic muesli, strawberries and chocolate cake, special local pastries to name but a few. My wife had a choice of teas and I was happy with my cup being constantly refilled with great coffee.
Altogether a superb experience - thank you.

Room Tip: They are ALL good! There is a suite if you wish to pay a little more.

We spent one day in the suite which is superb and tastefully furnished giving you access to your own private garden. The owners are charming and helpful and happy to offer suggestions for eating etc. Breakfast is lovely and plentiful which you take on the top floor "dining" room with a great view of the sea.

We've staid for some days at the suite of this B&B. The suite offers a bedroom, bathroom and living room, all beautifully decorated by the owners. You also have access to a garden.
Breakfast is outstanding: bread & croissants, cake, moelleux, boiled eggs, homemade marmelade, cheese. Breakfast is served either on the top floor, in the owners living room, overlooking the sea (between two taller buildings) or at ground level if you want some more privacy. The hosts are very helpfull in explaining waht you can do in the neighbourhood.
Highly recommended adress.

Room Tip: the suite offers a lot of space. It is worth the higher rent.

We loved our stay at Villa Providence! The room was tastefully decorated, breakfast was fantastic. The owners are really helpfull and advised us a really nice walk in the dunes of Slack. Location is also good, very close to the beach and restaurants. Highly recommended!

We have just spent a wonderful weekend in Wimereux at this lovely B&B. I cannot praise it highly enough. The rooms are delightful and everything has been furnished with such style and taste from the rooms to the table for breakfast. Excellent hosts who helped with recommendations and reservations.
We needed to withdraw euros to pay when we got there as apparently they can't process uk credit cards but there were plenty of facilities in the town
I would recommend this highly - totally charming and beautiful.
