I've eaten here around a dozen times, and never been disappointed. It's typically French, with typical French food. Don't expect food for tourists, it's what the French eat. The dining room is charming, with a little faded elegance, which gives a superb atmosphere. Make sure you book a table. People come from near and far to eat here. Good value. Lovely owner.

As regular Tunnel users we had stayed in many local accommodation providers in the Boulogne/Calais area , until one evening we arrived at a sea-front B & B in Wimereux with restaurant , only to discover that our room had been given away .
We discovered this Hotel who immediately made us welcome although we had no reservation and organised us with a small room which was all they had left.
We have never stayed anywhere else; the rooms may be basic but the beds are extremely comfortable and the shores excellent ; the price is very competitive and the restaurant ,plus the service in it , is superb.
Breakfast is a simple and self-service , which can be quick if you are in a hurry . However all the ingredients are there and the croissants and jam are always delicious .

Stayed here this weekend and agree the food here is amazing. We all had something different and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal.
Room on first floor at front was nicely refurbished. It was not noisy from street when we stayed at all.
Bed very comfortable apart from the plastic mattress cover that made me too hot in the night. Removed it for second night and much better.
Shower was powerful and separate toilet in room was nice.
Man on reception who may be owner was very friendly and helpful.
Would return.

You stay at this hotel for the food! It is sublime... However the hotel itself is a typical independant french fair.
The rooms are basic but clean. It is in the centre of town so there is a little traffic noise.
You do get a comfy bed and a small flat screen telly (english channels). But it is worth the 75 euros we paid for the room.
If you do stay, eat! The food is stunning. Proper french high end bistro food. I had Snails and steak Tartare. very popular venue amongst the locals.
Also if you do stay here, grab a nightcap at the trendy cocktail bar directly across the road. Its a real treat. The only downside to the hotel is the rather chaotic reception area. Expect a long wait, even if you are the only guest!

Room Tip: Pay the extra for an upgrade.

....but we were wrong to. We are normally hurtling south from the Tunnel but decided on a pre Christmas visit. We stayed three nights and loved exploring the area.
For a town centre hotel the large car park was a huge plus - but not easy to find from the one way system. Our room was at the back of the hotel and very quiet, but the decor was spartan and there were no extras like a hairdryer. Breakfast was well priced and the food in the restaurant was good - we ate there each night.

On Saturday 16th November, on a day trip to Boulogne, we took a taxi (15 euroe) up to the Hotel Du Centre to re-live a lunch I had had some fifteen or so years previously. The Hotel restaurant had had a beautiful re-fit since that time and, although it had lost some of its 'old world charm', the welcome was still as warm. We hadn't booked for lunch, and, despite us being only two, were seated, in the window on a table for four where we partook of a delicious, three course, lunch, the sole meniere being utterly delicious and filleted at the table by lovely young chap who showed no shock at being asked if we could take our coffee out into the garden where we would like our bill to be delivered. Under 80 euros for three, very good, courses, wine and coffee. The hotel then were kind enough to order a taxi for us to return us to Boulogne. We will return again.....and again. I am unable to comment on the rooms, as didn't stay, but the Reception Staff (? the owners) were very pleasant and accommodating.

Did a spur of the moment trip across the channel and stayed one night in the Hotel du Centre. Very good location with parking. Room adequate and a good bed and great shower. Didn't book the restaurant ahead of arrival so had to scour Wimereux for somewhere to eat. Lots of choice but very, very popular. Really recommend booking ahead and sad not to try out the hotel's own brasserie. The hotel does not have a bar but luckily there is a super bar across the road. Hotel du Centre is really OK, if a little basic, as is the breakfast. Would use the hotel again and would like to give Wimereux more time in better weather.

Room Tip: Our room, no 30, was a decent double and overlooked the main street. No noise from outside. There...
