“So friendly”
Reviewed 16 August 2013

Short break of three nights, retired couple travelling with grandaughter. Small aprtment but with everything you need and great breakfast for extra 5 euro if required. Blonville really nice little french resort.
Christophe the owner just about friendliest guy you could meet, born to be in hospitality, spoke enough English to guide us to place on phone, though we were late due to ferry.
Just all round a pleasant experience.

We have just come back from two days at La Villa des Fleurs where we had the most delightful time. A lot of it is down to the owner, Christophe, who is the most pleasant and helpful host one can imagine. He keeps his B&B beautifully, the breakfast is perfect, he has great tips of what to do in the region and he even got us to the airport braving the appalling Sunday traffic, cutting through the country so we could just make our plane. We couldn't feel more grateful and wish all the places we visited were run by people as attentive and charming as Christophe.

The B&B itself is perfectly located if you like a quiet place, away from the mass of tourists, but lively and nice enough. And when the sun shines, it's sheer pleasure.

Our stay in Villa des Fleurs in August 2012 will be remembered for a long time. Not that is was all perfect, nor was it the most beautiful or luxurious place we have ever been to, but we have certainly met the most enthusiastic host in years. Christophe tried to fulfill every single request that we had, even beyond his possibilities: when we were short of ideas what to visit, he proposed the horse riding were we had a fun afternoon, his restaurant recommendations looked like any other tourist trap, but they all were worth visiting (in terms of food quality, pricing, and child-friendlyness).
We will also remember his flexibility: When we suggested that the room that we had was just a bit too small for 4 people, he moved us to another room, more spacey, without any additional cost. And when we say "he moved...", he literally moved our extensive luggage (including children toys) ánd part of the furniture to a higher floor.
Another example was the evening that our son was not feeling well, he dressed the table so we could eat in the breakfast room.
As for the breakfast itself, we enjoyed the delicious croissants, the tasteful jam, good coffee and again... his enthusiasm when he welcomed his guests.
Overall a nice place to stay, if you tolerate the flaws inherent in older houses.
