We booked a table for four in the evening and had an excellent meal. The menu is not extensive, but the food fresh, imaginatively cooked and elegantly presented. The service was efficient, if not the most friendly we have encountered in the area. Water was free - both still and sparkling - which was a welcome surprise. The wine was reasonably priced. I would not hesitate to go back if visiting the area again.

We stayed for two nights during the week. The staff were very efficient when we booked and we asked for a room with a view as it was our wedding anniversary. We were given Room No 5, which had a balcony. Was a lovely room with toilet and shower room. Very recently redecorated to a high standard. Couldn't fault it. Food in restaurant was excellent and all staff very efficient and friendly. (Note: restaurant not open every evening). Would go again tomorrow! Don't be put off by the somewhat less than excellent outside of the building - you will have an extremely pleasant surprise when you get inside. Le Crotoy is a quiet seaside town - don't expect any nightlife, although there are plenty of bars but everything seemed to close up fairly early. Lots of restaurants in the town. Make sure you visit St Valerie sur Mer.

The painterly eye of a master chef brings the days catch, the regions best produce for the deputation of the discerning and the delighted guest at this excellent restaurant in the heart of this popular holiday destination for both the French and outsiders in the know.the airy elegance of the venue and the charming finesse of the front of house make for understated fine dining to be savoured again and again. Every dish was as much a feast for the eye as the palate, and all at a reasonable price. This is a gem of a restaurant in the modest fishing port which a
P too often puts itself in the shadow of its more chic sister town on the opposite side of the bay.

Having read the good reviews this restaurant has received we decided to invite a French couple to lunch with us.
We were very impressed with the menu and the quality of the food. So were our guests!
We will be back soon.

A friend booked this restaurant for a special birthday lunch based on reviews from this site.
The restaurant is light and bright and spacious, the tables are so well spaced that even when it was full of diners there was no sense of feeling crowded or busy. The staff are warm friendly and helpful. It took time to choose from the menu as even familiar items were served in unusual and interesting ways. Every dish i ordered was presented beautifully and tasted divine. My main course was a lamb dish and the meat was cooked to perfection and served with a selection of tiny diced vegetables. The cafe gourmand is a selection of desserts with coffee - creme brulee, panna cotta with sharp raspeberry jus, icecream and a homemade macaroon. Food heaven. I'm back at work today, living off the memory, planning to return.
