We arrived here one wet lunch time in May, a Tuesday. It was not our first choice - the Au P'Tit Matelot was unexpectedly closed, and this was virtually next door.

I agree with other reviewers - the decor is nice and aviation themed ( a Bleriot link I should imagine.) My partner had 3 cheeses and bread - a nice choice, and reasonable at 8 euros. My choice of cheese potatoes was the opposite. 11 euros for a few salad potatoes in cheese sauce, served in a shallow dish and accompanied by a mountain of uninspiring dressed salad. You win some, you lose some!

However, my main reservation with the Aviateurs was with the serving staff. A tall thin lady was in attendance. Smiling was against her religion it would seem and her customer liaison skills were, shall we say, at the formative stage. Another gentlemen was helping with the serving - could even have been M. Le Patron, but he was little better. Two people at the front line of a customer focussed enterprise who seemed to lack warmth or customer skills.

Am I recommending you avoid the Aviateurs? Not at all! Pop along there, see if I am exaggerating or not. Have a chuckle if I wasn't - such misery can be a joy to behold!

Didn't exactly do much for me on a wet grey day.....
