This hotel reminds me very much of places we stayed in France as children. My sister and I stayed here for one night and, as it was a late booking, we probably didn't get the best room available, but it was clean and the bathroom was more modern than in some French hotels. The staff were pleasant and we had a good meal in the restaurant despite the wine not being chilled enough, (something which weirdly seems to occur a lot in France and Italy). The hotel is situated facing the Baie de Somme, which is beautiful and the beach makes a lovely early evening walk as long as the tide is not in! The town of Le Crotoy is very quaint. There is an interesting monument to Joan of Arc near the hotel. Driving to the hotel once entering the town is quite tricky, as there is no direct route. I think there were roadworks going on, which may have added to the difficulty. There is no hotel carpark, so parking is on the street or in a town carpark, both nearby and both requiring payment. You can sort this at reception.
The building was originally the summer residence of Pierre Guerlain, (hence name of street), which is just an interesting fact, if you like that sort of thing!More
