Thankyou for looking after us on our recent stay at your hotel. From the moment 4 very soggy bikers turned up in your reception were you immediately took our wet cloths and dried them, we were made to feel right at home. The food was all one could expect and more as was the attitude of yourselves and your staff. We will be back again.(soon)

Room Tip: Try to get a valley view room, a tiny bit more money but well worth it for the view.

Our second stay here (on another car touring holiday) and we were very pleased to be back. The bedrooms aren't big or fancy but they are very 'woody' and Alpine in style. The toilet flush system is a bit scary and noisy but don't let that put you off!

We particularly like the large wood-lined dining room and the simple buffet style meal that was laid on (choose and cook your meat on the griddle was one for the men to enjoy) and the choice of desserts was even bigger and more tempting than last year!

We stayed here for two nights as a group of six hairy and not so hairy bikers on 1&2/8/13. After a hard ride to get there we were greeted by Nellie, who runs the hotel with her husband Daniel. We then were allowed to 'unwind' in the pool after a few beers. The views are simply breathtaking in summer, so it must be just as good during the winter months. Our hosts could not do enough for us and were brilliant fun. The rooms were clean and cosy and the food was amazing, with Nellie even cooking us a local dish on the second night! From a biking perspective, there was chain lube, engine oil and a tool kit should you require them. A brilliant place to base yourself for day rides and will definitely re-visit to do just that, though will bring my girlfriend next time instead of 5 guys!
It isn't a five star deluxe hotel - so don't expect one, but if you are after a fun, friendly and welcoming home from home, where the hosts are wonderful, the food is great and the views stunning, then this is the place for you....Daniel and Nellie - as promised and thanks for a great stay, regards, Daniel, Cornwall.

Don't expect a Waldorf-Astoria kind of place... It's basically a nice, friendly, family-run little hotel (20 rooms) with some of the best views i have ever had from a hotel room. The rooms are clean and give you an alpine feel with their wooden walls and furniture. A clean and very decent bathroom and on top of this a terrace ! I spent the night here on my motor bike trip into Italy (Col du Petit Saint Bernard) and there is no better place for an overnight stay. I had a friendly chat with the owners, a home cooked meal (buffet) with a great choice of desserts and a good bottle of wine. Breakfast as well - and all this for prices that don't break the bank ! I'll go back there for sure ! Funny detail: I was the only customer who also spoke French...
For bikers: there is ample covered parking space and a big tool kit at the entrance...

Room Tip: valley-side although I didn't ask for one but got one anyway

Having booked a last minute ski trip with my son, I found most hotels booked up. Then I found the Hotel Belvedere. What a find. The hotel has an incredible history and is still family run. The rooms were warm and cosy. Decorated in the authentic Alpine style. The views from the hotel are absolutely breathtaking. But by far the best part was the service and fantastic welcome from the owners Daniel and Nellie. Nothing was too much trouble . You feel so welcome from the instant you walk through the door. The food was delicious . We were half board so how lovely it was to go out after a nice breakfast and come back to a wonderful dinner served with a smile and a little chat. The owners find time for everyone. The hotel is only 6 kilometers from La Rosiere a fabulous ski resort . Be sure to go over into Italy it was well worth the effort. If you are relying on the ski transport, be warned that the frequent shuttle does not come down to Hotel Belvedere. You need to take the public bus, which is less frequent, only 1euro 50 each way and stops right outside the hotel. We had car trouble during our stay so we did use this service once and it was fine. I have to say that the owners were kindness itself , helping us with that one day and giving us great advice on a garage etc. So it did not affect our holiday in the least. If you take a car, it is much better to park at Les Eucherts, there is more parking and the chair lift is a good one. The restaurant next to the lift is excellent and we used it as our base when we wanted to take a break. All in all a fab 5 days. Thank you so much Nellie and Daniel for a wonderful stay.

Delightful little family run hotel on the hills above Bourg St. Maurice (and not expensive -- I think they are dropping their off-season demi-pension rates to 49e per person)
Comfortable and tastefully decorated with good linens and comfortable beds. The common areas as especially charming as they retain the original wooden fixtures (fireplace, siding, etc.)  The west facing breakfast room was as terrific place for our group to convene for our post ride beer(s - time saving 50cl Pelbforth blondes are 5e each) and watch the sunset over the Petit St. Bernard.
The dining room is a vast open space where they serve (at least during our overnight) a copious (if not overly fancy) buffet that suited our group of 20 cyclists perfectly: cold salads, soup, grill your own meats, several potato side dishes and a wide assortment of quite excellent desserts.

Breakfast was again copious and well done, not extravagant, but perfectly adequate (juices, boil your own eggs, ham, cheese, yougurt, cereals, machine coffee...)

The only drawback for some might be the bathrooms, which the owners have had to retrofit into a floorplan that was not originally designed for ensuites (there are still extra common WCs on the "pallier" as they say, or at the end of the hallways.) the bathtubs, such as they are (our at least our room's was) are poured concrete with a setp in slot cut out of the side which obviously makes a full deep bath impossible (much to the dismay of our tub-loving English group members.)

Room Tip: if you can, ask for a view out to the West, over Bourg St. Maurice and the mountains.
