“A truely brilliant holiday.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 November 2013

The only way to describe this hotel is fantastic. The quality of food was outstanding - we've stayed at many 5* hotels, but the food here topped it. There is a great range; salads, vegetarian, fresh fish and meat on the grill, as well as a Cretan corner. All food is very fresh and all prepared on site. Georgios, the Food & Beverage Manager, introduced us to many of the Cretan specialities, all of which were delicious! He ensured our holiday was all we hoped for and he was certainly a highlight of our time at the Seaside Resort & Spa.

Our room was amazing - we stayed in room 89 and the views were outstanding; looking out over the rock and out to sea, we've never had a more dramatic view. The faciltities are great - we preferred the smaller, quieter pool, which again had oustanding views.

Overall - a great holiday, where the service we recieved absolutely made the holiday. Thanks very much!

Room Tip: The rooms nearest the peninsular are the quieter ones. We had a fantastic room (number 89) which had...

We spent 6 days in the hotel. The food was excellent. Since we had a problem with the reservation we had a chance to see nearly all the room types on site. It is very we'll fit for a family with kids. Lots of swimming pools and nice access to the beach.
All in all one of the best all included hotels I' ve been to in the last years.
The only cons which are minor, were the entertainment team which was OK and the Chinese restaurant . Apparently they either serve food from a very unknown province in China or the cook have never eaten Chinese food. The staff is extremely friendly, we forgot our camera in the room just to get it back by mail. Very high standard of service. Waiting to get back.

Room Tip: Family suit near the quiet pool

We have just returned from a week at the Seaside Resort and it is a lovely resort and location. The facilities are pretty much as described and access to the local gritty beach is easy. We had an upgraded 'shared pool' room and the room itself was probably about a good 3* standard but the shared pool (shared exclusively by 8 rooms) was fantastic. My wife and I thought that for a bridal party the exclusive area of decking and pool for the eight rooms would have been wonderful. We had chosen a week right at the end of the season and guests should be aware that there is effectively a controlled close down throughout October. One restaurant (the pay one) was closed before we arrived and the Chinese one closed halfway through our stay. Also the animation team seemed completely lacklusture (although they were nagged into reluctantly providing some entertainment on one evening). Luckily the weather for our stay was fantastic and therefore we were treated to a luxurious resort which was almost exclusive to us (there were 16 guests remaining when we left), if the weather had been poor my rating of the resort would be a lot lower.
The food was OK - but deteriorated as the staff and resources declined.
The A/I is very good - but ends at 23:00 which is when the disco begins (although with us it was iffy if this happened because no one was there).
Animation - almost non-existant for us.
You are pretty isolated but you can walk around the coastal side of the Penninsular Hotel opposite to get to Agia Palagia - about a 25-30 min walk.
Staff were generally good but with some jobs worth's amongst them (especially the Chinese Restaurant).
All in all I would give it 3.5 out of 5 but if I came back I would probably try the Penninsular.

Room Tip: Upgraded rooms with sea view and sharing a pool.

excellent hotel. very nice customer service from the staff, the waiters are so lovely. amazing sea view, very nice rooms, very clean, nice beach and pools.
all inclusive food all the time, tasty and varied, snacks at the pools all day.
The only downside was the Chinese restaurant which was not up to the standard of our previous visit. we recommend to employ a new chef...

we and the kids were enjoyed and strongly recommend the hotel

Room Tip: room with sea view

We recently returned from a six night stay at Sea Side Resort & Spa. This was right at the end of season just before it closed for the Winter. It was not too crowded and was very relaxing.
The views are spectacular and exactly what we were looking for. The location is a bit remote, so best to hire a car if you want to explore outside the resort. The room was clean and comfortable with a balcony that overlooked the sea. The power is switched off every time you leave, so worth knowing if you're trying to charge cameras and phones etc. The mini bar is meant to be topped up with water and soft drinks every two days, but wasn't.
The wifi didn't work at all in the room, but could be accessed in the public areas. When we asked at reception about the wifi, they weren't very helpful and a bit rude.
The buffet food was terrific and varied. It's the first time we've had an all inclusive deal and it was really impressive. The staff in the kitchen and restaurant were really friendly and every meal was a pleasure. Only trouble is it's too nice and you end up eating too much ;) Beware the horrible orange juice which is really cordial. Everything else lovely.
The spa can only be accessed if you pay extra for a treatment. It's a shame everyone can't have automatic access to the indoor pool/steam room/jacuzzi etc as expected.
The only really annoying thing about this place was the entertainment staff...they were incredibly loud and quite rude at times. They had really screechy voices/laugh that grated. They seemed quite slack as they often just sat around drinking. This is at odds with an otherwise classy, beautiful, relaxing, romantic and enjoyable destination. We would definitely consider going again in the future.

Room Tip: Sea view worth getting and if you can stretch to a private pool room even better!

We were at the seaside resort and spa one week ago for 8 day because of our anniversary the hotel
Is located on a cliff which its the second best thing there , and i think that u asking your self , so what is the first best thing at this hotel ,,,, !!! ! ?, the best thing is the ( food ) , alot of kind of food every thing just make a wish , the food was so fantastic and very delicious and everytime we ate at the seaside we would not want to think that the holiday going to finish some time , the rooms is under the standard , the pools so good , the snack bar pool side is great , The pizza at the oven out of the resturant is one of the teasty pizzas that i ate in my life , the entertainment staff are so poor they doesnt made a good program and every night put a big stereo music at the bar and don't do anything just sitting with the female guest's of the hotel and bla bla bla bla , i was at another hotel Ll inclusive and it wasn't like this hotel don't care about the people who really came to enjoy ...so replace them --- but as one who love to eat the money that i paid is worth the food i ate lol..
Enjoy.

This was our second visit to the Seaside and once again we were not disappointed. The food in the hotel was superb with a tremendous choice at every meal. The Greek sweets were particularly good. The only downside was the Chinese restaurant which was not up to the standard of our previous visit. The staff were all helpful and attentive, in particular the main bar staff and the waiters in the dining room. Our room was spacious and clean, while not being over luxurious. The views from all parts of the hotel are stunning. We will be back again soon and perhaps by this time the broadband will have improved.
