We stayed at Peninsula hotel recently on our family holday to Crete. At the time of booking we had booked for a se facing Bungalow which could accommodate the 4 of us. However, on reaching the hotel we were told, that the bungalows were being repaired and we could have 2 separate rooms instead. The rooms were sea facing, but this did defeat the purpose of spending time together. In one of the rooms, the bathroom had water overflowing from the drain on the floor with a musty smell and everytime we had a shower the whole bathroom would be flooded. We reported this, but nothing was done, However, when we left the management were very apologetic. Inspite of all this we did have a very good time. The staff on the whole were very friendly. There was a good choice for breakfast and dinner. Dinner included house wine, which was great. The views from the room were just great and the hotel was quite conveniently located. There were 3 swimmimg pools, including 2 outdoor and 1 indoor, plus a TT table and tennis court.
Overall, it was good value but could have been better with some more attention to customer careMore
