We had a one of our best holiday-memories in villa bellevue .The hotel complex is run by a english-greek family, that help you any time> you need info. Their son George is a very helpful ,polite person and has a shoppingstore down in agia pelagia. During the first days we didn't have a car, and George after servingBellevue's super breakfast offered us a lift every day down to the village of AgiaPelagia and a couple of times to the lovely beach of Ligaria .Bellevue is a simple but a very good hotel-apts complex. The rooms are very big ,simple but tastefully decorated and have a super plus- their ownprivate entrance. The view is one of the best we have ever seen or experienced. During our stay we explored the six beaches in and around Bellevue. One day we walked till the next mountain village and visited themonastery of Sebbatiano that was a super expierience.
Agia pelagia is very a very good place to go for holidays.

The Villa Bellevue is a charming oasis high above the touristy hustle of Agia Pelagia. If you are a fearless driver and a great navigator, you will be rewarded when you arrive to this classic, mountainside Cretan resort with kindness, hospitality, and a fair measure of comfort. The rooms are clean if spare (and cleaned every day by the housekeeper), the pool is sparkling, the owners and other guests are hospitable without being intrusive, and the whole atmosphere is one of mellowness and relaxation.

Tips: The hosts sometimes forget to give you the house rules, so be sure to ask: if you want to have dinner at the Villa's on-site taverna, you have to let them know the night before or that morning. Breakfast is similar - spontaneity is not an option here.

Also, it's nearly impossible to walk anywhere from the Villa - you must drive into Agia Pelagia or anywhere else you want to go, unless you wish to risk limbs (if not lives) on steep roads without sidewalks (and with Greek drivers).

We stayed here just one night as we arrived in the evening into Heraklion Port and didn't want to stay in the city. (It's about 20km west) It was very clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced. Friendly couple who own/run the place too. They offer an outstanding breakfast as well. The pool is huge and very nice grounds. Seems to frequented by German package tours, none there at the time we stayed. It was perfect for us and instead of staying in Heraklion, it's a superb place to stay close by. We visited Villa bellevue in quite late Autumn and had a really super holiday there . The staff were very pleasant and polite and ready to help us each time we had a query . My friend and I really had need of a peaceful environment as we had to prepare for some exams we had to take ,once we got back to England .On the days we had 'OFF' we discovered we were in very easy reach of the main highway approx 250 m. and buses travelling in either the east or the west of the island . We also discovered two diving schools still open .One down in the village of Aghia Pelagia and one just below Villa bellevue on the Ligaria Beach My friend is a diving enthusiast so he went on a few occasions The school even had a 'pick up' service !.Another time we decided to rent a car, and delivered there - all organised for us by Villa bellevue . The rooms are simply furnished , kept very clean and linen changed frequently. We'll try and get back to Villa bellevue very soon !

We have just returned from 10 days at villa bellevue .We must say that on our arrival we received an extremely warm welcome and immediately felt at home and we were shown to our very clean, simple style studio. My boyfriend and I had particularly wanted to stay in the Villa bellevue area as we had heard, that as well as being a super area , there are a lot tracks which are very suitable for like us ,jogging enthusiasts , and also provides the two beaches with two scuba -diving centres which are very well organised . In the evening we either went down to the friendly tavernas on the beach ,or ate very tasty meals in the Villa bellevue taverna . They owners also arranged for us to have delivered at Villa bellevue a car to rent . Which was very convenient for us ,when we decided to take a.trip around the island . On the whole a wonderful holiday and the help and advice we received from the owners of Villa bellevue -invaluable

My friend and I recently spent a few enjoyable days at Villabellevue We must say we received an extremely warm welcome and really felt at home . The studio we occupied was simply but well furnished ,and kept very clean .The first days we spent there it was cold and wet but we had air conditioning which soon heated the room, making it nice and cosy . The following days were a lot better ,so much so ,we were able sit around sunbathing, enjoying the magnificent scenery in the area, and to swim in the pool . The taverna had just opened so we were able to have a tasty Greek meal and sample the good local wine they had there .Unfortunatly the days passed quickly and our lovely break came to an end . I can fully recommend Villabellevue for someone who is seeking a quiet restful place amongst wonderful scenery and a lovely gardens . This was for us real 5 star accommodation .

My friend and I came here during a 4 day trip to Crete. We had such a marvelous time here! It's not too far from Iraklion, although we did feel it was necessary to rent a car. But it's better if you rent a car in Crete anyway. The bus system isn't really reliable. But yeah, this place was so much more than we expected. When we arrived, we were greeted with wine and a basket of fruit for our rooms (complimentary), and the owners were just too cute. They were welcoming and delightful to talk to, especially the lady. She's from England but has lived in Greece for a while. They were sincerely interested in how we were, whether we were satisfied with our rooms or not, and what she could do to assist us.

The rooms were great, too. I would totally come back and live here for a month or more. There is a kitchenette, a king-sized bed, a balcony overlooking Agia Pelagia, TV, heat/AC, a bathroom (with a decent-sized bathtub), a refrigerator, etc... And there was a pool! (with more than adequate patio-space for sunbathing).

I would definitely come back. WILL come back.
