Grace has comfortable rooms and a blissfully unobstructed view of the sunset, but what really sets it apart is the staff. Staff take clear pride in their work and make a genuine effort to give guests the best possible experience. Christina in particular was a true life saver – when my husband left his phone in a taxi she managed to contact the driver and have it returned safely to us that same evening. However, virtually everyone we met from Grace went above and beyond what was required to make our stay wonderful. That included serving an early breakfast before the restaurant opened so that we could eat before our morning flight out.

Although Oia (where we stayed 1 of our 5 nights in Santorini) is a popular place to watch the sunset, Imerovigli has the better vantage point, and Grace may have the best location within Imerovigli. Imerovigli on the whole is quieter and more laid back, which we appreciated. It is also very close to Fira, from which you can easily take buses to points south on the island. That said, we were very content to spend most of our time at the hotel itself because it was so relaxing! The restaurant is excellent and breakfast in particular was always a special treat.

Couples should know that the private plunge pools are visible to passers by. We were right next to a footpath and noticed that the Honeymoon Suite was next to the path as well so that the occupants were in direct view of whoever was walking past. Since the path leads to Skaros Rock (a beautiful, short and worthwhile hike for anyone interested), there is a fair amount of foot traffic. Out of the rooms we saw, we thought 52 probably had the best balance between privacy and sunset views.

Room Tip: Out of the rooms we saw, we thought 52 probably had the best balance between privacy and sunset views.

Was on our honeymoon, expecting to be blown away by our room, which unfortunately ended up being so low down the mountain , an average room for the price paid, with a tiny balcony, and an even tinier spa. The view from the balcony was blocked of by the rest of the building.....The rest of the property though is divine. Staff too were fantastic. .not to mention that awesome pool. But better rooms with better views can be found with a third of the price

Dear Dimitrios S,

I take the opportunity to thank you for choosing our hotel for this special occasion and we are delighted to read that you enjoyed our unique infinity pool and the interaction with our team members.
It is, however, disappointing to hear that the room allocated did not meet your expectations. Had this been communicated to us during your stay, we could have had the opportunity to provide an alternative. The honeymoon suite is one of the most private rooms in the property and the ideal choice for such occasions, as it faces north west and enjoys the magical views of the Caldera and sunset.

I do hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you again and hope to offer you a more suitable accommodation option at the time of booking.

Kind Regards

Joseph Gaoutsis
General Manager

My partner and I ended our two month long European holiday at the Grace Santorini and it was a decision we have not regretted! It was by far the most phenomenal way to end our trip as the Grace is the most beautiful and serene place that we have ever had the pleasure of staying. The service of their staff cannot be faulted, you were welcomed warmly and attended to however they keep their distance and know when you want to be left alone. The food was exquisite and the breakfast every morning was a treat! 5 courses everyday. Those that have been complaining about stairs, you must realise that this is Santorini and the entire island is know for their beautiful cliffs. I highly recommend this hotel; their service, views, restaurant and staff are of the highest quality. It is a once in a lifetime kind of place, a must.

Room Tip: DO get a deluxe room with a plunge pool!

This is a beautiful property, with stunning views and very good customer service. The rooms too are very satisfying.

We stayed three nights and never encountered a hitch. Staff were attentive and eager to please. The food (we only ate breakfasts at the hotel) was varied, original, and well prepared. The room was the Honeymoon Suite which in addition to having two rooms also had a plunge pool, which is really a heated hot tub/jacuzzi---but because of copyrights the hotel can't use the J name.

My only complaint---and really it is only an observation---is you better be in very good physical shape to stay here. The hotel entrance is far down a cliff, and the reception, rooms, restaurant etc are even further down. Once you are at your room you realize you need to walk hundreds of stairs back up if you want to leave the property and go to town, etc. I kept wondering what a disabled person is to do. In the end, I made it without problem, but I do think Grace should explain a bit more to guests who must be surprised when confronted with this.

Anyway I found it worth every penny. A beautiful place that is bound to please.

Room Tip: Ask for a room higher up the cliff. Close to reception is best.
