This was my 60th Birthday Treat, tied into a wedding of a very dear friend. We decided to push the boat out and couldn't have chosen a better place. There were staff waiting, discreetly to do everything for us. The views were superb. It was quiet and peaceful. Buses stopped outside, for cheap travel around the island.
Only criticism was the cost of items from the mini bar but we had been pre warned from an earlier review. They say not to buy and bring food and drink into the hotel. At nearly £2,500 for B & B for a week, I say tough. I will do what I like.
The breakfasts are amazing and you can have as much as you want, so we never needed to have lunch. Food in the Restaurant is expensive but worth having at least one meal there as a treat. The rest of the time, we bussed it to nearby towns for a meal, although, be prepared to get a taxi back, usually around 10 Euros.
Hope to be able to return.
PS And we were upgraded to a Suite when we arrived. Found that by far the best value was a package deal from Thomas Cook.More
